Motto: "Collecting little transforming action figures is the right of all sentient Geeks."
Weapon: Indepentently Targetable Particle Beam Cannons
The Large star wars Unleashed figures, really never appealed to me, i saw the first few waves and never like them,

I guess it was the gooey looking flashy accessory. Palpatine, had blue lightning, Obi-Wan and Anakin had Light saber flashes. But the accessories just looked awful to me and the Poses weren't really that good.

I don't think I'll buy any of the Tf's Unleashed, unless they are really good. And bumblebee just doesn't do it for me.

I finally found some pics of the Star-Wars unleashed line:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to pass on them. I have two or three of the Star Wars ones and I liked them at first, but a short while later lost a lot of interest. It's just not cool when you can't pose them at all.

I think for the movie line I'm going to stick to one of each character/figure in the largest size (so the leader Prime, for example) and pass on basically everything else (including most if not all of the real gear stuff - except maybe that laserbeak). I've already stopped buying 3" Titaniums and Legends of Cybertron as they just aren't what I'm looking for.

Same here. I have every 3 inch. I've only opened one, and well, it kinda sucked. I think theyre all gonna go on ebay as soon as I can motivate to post the unwanted and duplicates that I have clogging up my hallway closet.

Somehow I have to keep reminding myself that busts and non transforming figures just never seem to work out once I take them out of the pacaging. :-x

yeah i agree, at least the little packs of smaller G-1 figures that came from takara were cool, and moved slightly, ofcourse you had to put them together and weren't entirely sure they would be prepainted.. but oh well..

HASBRO: If anyone from your toy company browses this forum, please pay attention to this...

Your unleashed toyline, is great in idea, but in final product, it becomes lacking, as with previous posts above I had the same problems with your Unleashed figures, they looked cool, but their poses were never quite right, and the sculpts were great, but the whole clearish plastic effects were just too much and really made the statues look cheap. That's mainly why most Star Wars fans liked the Unleashed but really wanted Kotobukiya. The Kotobukiya statues, though expensive, had a more realistic approach to the figures, and no corny, hokey special effects that detracted from the figures themselves.

The Bumblebee figure that is being released is a god start, except the pose of the figure is really difficult to showcase his cool robot form. the head is nestled between the forearm and the shoulder, and is hard to see, placing him out for display would mean turning him to the far right, and not being able to see the main body, so what's the point of having that great sculpt if its hidden all the time on display.. it just doesn't hit the mark. Which has seemed to be a running theme with the Unleashed line... the sculpts are detailed and look great, except the positions and gimmics really detract, and make the figures look aweful..

My advice, get new sculpters, and no gimmicks (clearish laser and fire attachments)..or get the sculpters to make the statues in a badass pose like the Kotobukiya line, action poses are over rated, especially when the figure or final product looks odd. It also would make a great option to include, limited posability, like for instance if the Bumblebee Unleashed figure is unacceptable to a fan, they could reposition his head, move the arm down a little, or elbow back some, and even replace the head with that of the "Battle mode" version. Now that would be a colossal Unleashed figure that I would buy 2 of!!!

I have since forwarded the suggestion with a little modification on to Hasbro, and I will await their response, hopefully some changes can happen before they start releasing these Unleashed figures, cause f not, from what i'm hearing so far, they will have a huge amount of Peg warmers on the shelves come toy movie time..

yeah i agree, but thats why you buy the transformable toys. this is meant to be for collectors, and anyone who wants an accurate representation of the movie bots in plasic form, because we all know the toyline from the movie is no where near as accurate as it should be. But hey, thats what the Masterpiece line is for right? Come on Takara give us a Masterpiece Bumblebee, or Prime, or Blackout from the movie.. pretty please??

HMMMMMMM.... :-?
I wonder if Kotobukiya will be doing high end statues of the Transformers movie bots, similar to those of the Star Wars line?? That would be cool, especially if Hasbro just ignores the fact that their Unleashed line is kinda lacking.. i could order from Japan.. OHHH, a Kotobukiya Accurate Megatron, with no orange cap!!! because he's a freakin statue..LOL
