Deluxe Optimus is in scale with Voyager Megatron and it is still a decent figure.
Voyager wise, Battle Blades Optimus is possibly even a little better then Leader Class Optimus.

If we ever got Supreme Blackout and Leader DOTM Megs, however, I would die of happy shock.

I don't have any proof for this, but maybe ROTF LC Megs didn't sell too well because it was either sub-par or it wasn't film accurate enough, so Hasbro decides to take its time to perfect the LC toy for DOTM this time around. Please take this with a pinch of salt, and a healthy does of positive thinking.

I have the same hopes too! I mean, consider what we've seen historically. Especially with ROTF, did we ever hear any of news of Leader SS? Sure, those who bought the two disc DVD saw a prototype in the second disc, but did we ever know it was in the works?

I believe considering how long the movie tie-ins have been milked, up to a year or more after the original movie, we would very likely see a Leader Megs and I'm hoping a Prime too. This is the FIRST Megatron the movie toys have gotten right... it would be vindication to have a Leader Class Megs that didn't suck.

Although I did like the first but felt he could have had a better paintjob, and I liked the second (especially the black repaint) except his cannon arm that doesn't bend at the elbow, many fans are of the opinion that they have all sucked except this recent incarnation. I find it hard to imagine they wouldn't do one.

Of course, I had pie in the face before, when I kept holding out for a Voyager Scrapper and couldn't BELIEVE they NEVER made him!

Lol I didn't think there was another soul who remembered ol' Bonecrusher! That was one of the coolest characters I felt would have tremendous potential as a larger figure. I love my little Deluxe, but to have one that could go toe to toe with Prime, and scale well too... astounding.

I sure wish they would have Leader figures worthy of the sobriquet. I would hope that Leaders give us more screen accuracy, challenging and cool transformations, and also poseability. What I've seen so far has been pretty disappointing. My Sentinel Prime has it all except inability to pose due to back heaviness. And Ironhide is so simple to transform it's almost a mockery. I would definitely have hoped for better proportions, and more poseability around the ankles.

Of course, they made those toys for kids primarily, not us.

It's not even a spoiler, read the back and tell me that it doesn't scream, yeah not gonna happen.

I'm still hoping for a Leader Blackout/Grindor PLEASE!

*facepalms* It was right there, right in front of me, all along. Gorram it!

You're right, thank you for pointing that out.

That's one hell of a HURR DURR moment for me. >_<

I read the book, I own the figure, I know the story, and it never registered with me until this moment. Dayum, that's sad.

With respect to the fact that most people probably know anyway, if you are going to include movie spoilers in your post, please use the spoiler tags! Vader is Luke's father! See how that was done? If you want to see the tags, just quote this post! Thanks!

As for Megs... we don't know how screen accurate his new form is - for one, we haven't seen any images of him with the cape or the arm-mounted fusion cannon. On top of that, given how he has a penchant for altering his form (first movie - Cyb. Jet, ROTF - Cyb. Tank) I wouldn't put it past them to have him change forms at sometime during the movie (whether that comes with a name change or not isn't really relevant). So, if during the movie he upgrades to say, a handgun (I'm kidding!) then perhaps his new form would be represented as a Leader Class?

That being said, I'm a huge fan of the Mack Truck look, and I hope it stays consistent throughout the film and gets a leader class toy, even if I don't typically buy leaders, but because the design deserves one!

Technically we already have a Leader Class Villain in the DOTM line.

EDIT: D'oh! Missed a page and was massively beaten to it. How embarrassing.

Yeah, I remember him. Probably one of my favorite movieverse Decepticons out of the first 2 films. Maybe because I work where I can see 3 of them daily.

I'm going to have to get Leader Sentinel, because from the pics his voyager are showing, it looks like he is basically a robot wearing a truck. It may not be the case but the leader looks to be much better.
New pics added as I find time.

Heh, me too...I tend to obsess over scale. I think it's a bit odd that neither of the villains are getting larger toys...I sure would like them. But then, with the other lines, things were appearing a bit later so we may get one anyways.

I just wonder how they could even improve ShockWave...his Voyager looks almost perfectly accurate.
On the note of scale...why can we never get a decent Voyager Ratchet?

I do have a [wishful] theory for why we still haven't seen Leader class Megs or Shockwave. As for Ratchet, I think Hasbro only goes as far as "relative scale." They just make sure a voyager truck is bigger than a deluxe car, but not down to perfect scale, as in deluxe Jazz's Solstice being slightly smaller than deluxe Bee's Camaro.

I'd love to see a Voyager size Bonecrusher and Brawl. Yeah, Shockwave isn't bad as a voyager, but prime is beyond lacking. But Megs's truck version is well deserving of a leader class.

Yeah BoneCrusher would be great, a big Voyager though I'd hope, not the tiny DOTM versions...
I'm pretty happy with leader Brawl though.

Yeah, the reason I believe LC Megs and Shocwave are still a good possibility is because of HFTD Starscream. I remember Hasbro saying that HFTD will still continue, which means we might be getting LC Megs and Shockwave as HFTD figs.

As for Scrapper, I too was hoping for an eventual release, but I guess the 'Con just didn't clock in enough screen time and action for Hasbro to make a fig out of. Judging from the concept art, he would have made an awesome voyager class fig.

Another Bonecrusher fan reporting in!

While he only appeared for all of two minutes in the movie, his fight scene with OP was rungs above that of Bee and Barricade. And his brutish design just screams Decepticon to me.

If only Takara would expand its Movie Masterpiece line and make a leader class fig of Bonecrusher.

My thoughts exactly on all points. In all seriousness, it would be a disservice to DOTM Megs if he didn't get a leader class fig.
