A recent podcast confirmed there was such a rule. They could not redeco Armada Starscream as super mode starscream because Takara was doing it. So they wouldnt be able to do this if Takara already did it. If they were able to just give us stateside releases of Takra only products, they would have given us a lot of other stuff over the years instead of their own thing.

Plus the idea begs the question of "Why should Fun Pub do it if somebody else is already doing it?"

There is also the fact that it is assumed the people who get the subscription service are fan enough to be aware of what is coming out on the takara side. Those same fans already probably bought a Runabout, so I can only imagine the ugly backlash if the club gave them the exact same toy as the surprise 7th figure.

my collection is legend size, of course i get irritated when someone tries to sell something worth 10$ at 100$...

and.. its not apple and oranges. that mold is worth 10$ and its legend scale.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. For someone who don't care about toys, your 10$ Runabout is worth NOTHING. I don't care about collector card so that old baseball card is just a peice of cardboard.

You don't think thing X should be worth Y, just don't buy it.

So are you angry at all Botcon releases as well? Or any TF club releases? Or any platinum release? What about e-hobby stuff? Or other convention exclusives? Because NONE sell at the same retail price.

And also you are wrong about your pricing. The asking price on these 2 figures is 40$ US for a 2 pack.

And yes, you are dead wrong about the comparison. Youa re comparing toys that are meant to be sold throughout the world to toys that are meant to only be sold in one location. So I guess maybe not apples and oranges but more like tomatoes and dragon fruit.

im not angry at anyone, i was just giving manforte to others people's feeling of frustration about collecting...

one of the whole points of passing to a legend scale collection as opposed to mp, or whatever, is price and space of course. Atleast for me, so please don't take it personally if I rant about it on these , totally unrelated forums..

but seriously and on a more friendly tone, one of the pros of a legend scale collection opposed to MP really is price, exclusives like this really feel like they want to milk you dry, and using a 10$ mold and inflating its price is not a good way to create customer fidelity.

If hasbro were to do this it would be an easy 20$ for the two battle chargers. Our podcast has already pronounced itself on club exclusives, and its such an old debate that it better be left to rest, but the kind of person who goes legend scale is on the opposite side of the line to the kind of collector that buys club exclusives.

I have trouble understanding what I highlighted above.

Firstly, who is milking us dry? Who do you personally believe is profiting from what these will be costing stateside?

Also, the prices on these are due to the exact same reason of club exclusives. So if that debate is better off put to rest, why are you still adamantly speaking your mind here. It is the same issue so I fail to see why you would speak up about this when you have (wisely) chosen to ignore the other exclusives. Same issue, same argument, so why not put it all to rest?

Also just personal curiosity (definitely on a friendly note), in a legends class collection, wouldnt these two be too big? Wouldnt they look really big compared to a legends Magnus, for instance?

how come its so hard to express one's desbelief to finding figures at 50$ when the whole reason for getting those very figures is that they cost 10$ compared to mp collections.

Also, nobody care's who's making the profit out of it, consumers aren't really worried about that, what does concern them is what is (or isn't anymore) in their wallets. What is kinda weird is that expressing these natural concerns on these forums is trolled upon.

the above are totally unrelated to the club exclusive issue, what seems to be missed here is that the first (and probablly most important) consideration most collectors make about buying or not buying a figure is price. The reason for which a product is overpriced is hardly going to impact on the decision of buying or not..

as the ultra magnus issue u should check out iron factory legend scale ultra magnus. its the same scale as their legend scale evil lord and works well with the current legend scale.

Quite the opposite. These two are exclusive second party figures licensed by a publishing company(million publishing and Hero-x) by licensing molds from Takara to redeco.

They are in fact the same kind of exclusive at the same scale too, just from different companies. So any argument you may have for one must apply to the other.

I like them and I will buy them - do I think they are a bit expensive - yes but then buying the book allows you to order two of each so you can sell the spares to recoup some of the cost just like people do with Botcon loose sets to recoup the cost of the boxed sets.

I'd buy them though as they are useful for my play pattern and I know I will get a lot of use out of them due to the cross compatibility with other CW & Unite Warriors toys - and who knows perhaps the other Trigger-bot might show up some time too in some form.

That they are branded as "Transformers Adventures" is only a positive in the sense that if you wanted to it adds another scale to the line - but I can't see me wanting to use them as Prime/RID characters - they just do go with those well - even if they are supposed to.

But for those happy with that idea at least it means Runabout & Runamuck don't step on the toes of the existing Deluxe Funpub toys.

But don't a lot of people by Override as an alternative chest for Unite Warriors Defensor - at least in part !?

They are Hero X exclusives which is the Japanese version of club exclusive figures. So, like with club exclusives, you need someone with a membership to buy them first and then sell them back to you. And while you might think that price is nuts, it was one of the only ways to get them if you werent in japan and it is now sold out.
