Does anyone know why all of a sudden they decided to change the release date to 7-3-07 with prescreenings on 7-2? After they've only been advertizing it for a year

They changed the release date a month or two ago. And from what I understand it was one of Bays decisions. I guess he was trying to get it released even earlier and basically make Botcon the official release date rather then just a pre screening.

and.. why compete with the 4th of july if you dont have too.. there will be many ppl that would rather have family get togethers.. fireworks.. and so on... so put it out a day early.. and avoid it...

But if you don't want to compete with the Fourth why make it that release date to begin with?
