Don't bother. It's a generic grinding MMO that gets boring very fast, even if you play with friends. The promise of 'transforming armors' is hollow, as you must first grind through 21 levels to get to the point where you can use them. THEN, you have to actually get the parts for the mech.
The only good thing about the game is that it's set in a sci-fi universe, a much-needed departure from the overabundance of fantasy crap.
Seriously, though, take it from me, don't bother with Age of Armor. I got into the beta, played it a lot, and wasn't impressed.
If you're looking for a GOOD free online mech game, try Exteel by NCsoft, the City of Heroes/Villains, Lineage, Guild Wars etc. guys. It's a fast-paced, action-packed third-person action game. Check out http://www.Exteel.com
