Ok, I'm working on a list of personal canon re-purposing. I'm trying to make a list of figures I want to represent certain characters. Most have multiple versions and I'm choosing those that I think fit best. (for me of course).
I came to the character of Blackarachnia. I remember her from beast wars and from Animated. I think animated had a better impact on me as a character. I hated the name though. Blackarachnia sounds utterly dumb. Really? Blackarachnia? Jeez.
Anyway, flash forward to Prime and Airachnid. I know she isn't the same character. But..bear with me, it's still a female spider-bot. The way I see it, she is the logical evolution of Blackarachnia and a far far better one. They made her scary and kept her a villain. Which, animated did too but with just enough stuff to make you pity her. You don't pity Airachnid. I liked her design and her character. So if I was to have a Blackarachnia/Airachnid on my list it would sooner be the later than the former.
One problem:
Apparently the dlx Airachnid sucks.
So my thoughts were: Anyone try to switch heads? Airachnid's head on Blackarachnia's body? I've seen some custom Airachnid's that are pretty nice but man, I'm lazy.
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.
TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy
