So I want to have a little ramble about Ga-Rei Zero for a while.

I was originally really looking forward to this, and the first episode did not disappoint.

But ever since the end of episode one things have really taken a turn for the worse. Episodes two to five have really been a pile of crap in comparison and I am still sore about Natsuki and Touru getting killed off at the end of episode one. So far besides a few comedy moments in episode five they have been the only good thing about the series.

I don't CARE if Tokusen 4 was basically a squad of Anime references, that first episode has beaten the living **** out of the rest of the series with impunity. BRING THEM BACK GOD DAMN YOU.

From episode three onwards the story has gone back in time to way before the events of episode one, so I suppose it is possible for the episode one cast to make a return. Unfortunately they haven't so far.

But now Yomi, the murdering psycho bitch from episodes one and two, has been integrated as one of the main characters. Knowing what she ends up doing makes it a little hard for me to sympathize with her and I really would prefer to get rid of her as soon as possible... If it even is possible, which I seriously doubt at this point.

I know as a prequel to the manga things have to fit in with that storyline by the time the series ends, but never having read the manga I really don't give a crap, it still ticks me off.

So I'm hoping the first episode cast make a return at some point, though I'm not going to hold my breath as they don't feature at all in the OP.

All in all, I feel really let down after investing myself so much into the first episode. It's one of those disappointing moments that gnaws and gnaws at me for months on end.

I want Natsuki and her awesome motorcycle skills back.

Full Metal Alchemist - Chapter 89

This month's chapter was fantastic. Roy and company finally made a move and turned Central into a battleground, together with the soldiers from Briggs versus the Central Army.

Maria and Havoc both made a return, even though poor Havoc is now in a wheelchair. He's now running a general store, how about that, pretty weird.

"This is Havoc Sundries! From underpants to armoured cars, we're your one-stop-shop for everything! And we deliver!"

Good job on the translation too. Soo funny.

Since my plans for a Rezo costume have gone absolutely nowhere. I decided to splurge on a premade costume. Not a Rezo costume though as that would require far too much money.

I have opted for Ga-Rei Zero's one shot hero, Tooru.

Gundam 00: Episode 6 (31 overall)
-After the attack on the Kataron base, at least the war orphans survived.

-Sumeragi has a flashback upon seeing a Kataron member in a body bag. It was something about her causing a lot of friendly fire, and a bunch of people died.

-Remember how last time I asked for someone to Bright Slap Saji? Good thing Tieria is always around. And Tieria puts Saji in his goddamn place, telling him the attack on Kataron was all because Saji is an idiot, which is my new excuse for everything that happens from now on. He also tells Saji that everything he's ever complained about is also stupid. then Saji begins crying.

-As this happens, Setsuna and Tieria discuss things that actually matter, that how Saji caused Kataron to get attacked, and why Azadistan got blown up. (My theory: Saji is an idiot)

-I am amazed Ali didn’t take a whack at Setsuna. You think, with his rival unarmed, and an entire country burning below him, Ali would have taken a swing or ten.

-Apparently Nena Trinity is the key to deceiving the Innovators. Also, Wang Liu Mei referred to Hong Long as her brother. Oh, c’mon, Wang’s brother is Hong Long? That’s not even innuendo, that’s freaking blatant.

-Whatever Sumeragi did, Colonel Mannequin of the A-Laws was part of it.

-Holy Irony, Batman! In the battle at the end of the episode, Saji is seen about to use the Ptolemy’s beam cannon on a mobile suit—Piloted by Louise. It doesn’t show him fire, but if he did, expect to see Saji become even more emo than before.

-In the post-credits scene, Setsuna appears to activate the Trans-Am system on the 00, which he has been told multiple times is a bad thing. Meanwhile, Soma shanks the Arios. The next episode appears to be a “enemy pilots stranded on an island” kind of episode with Soma and Allelujah. will there be copious fanservice like when it was Athrun and Cagalli? We can only hope.

-I am now quite certain that half the characters on the show are there just to make the Meisters look better. Tieria a bit feminine? Have him tell it like it is until Saji cries. Setsuna kind of lagging? Put him next to Marina. Lockon needs to look more badass? No he doesn't. Allelujah not as great without his psycho alt-brain? We'll always have Peries.

Tentai Senshi Sunred - Episode 1

This is a show with a very simple premise, to make fun of sentai shows of all shapes and sizes.

It may not appeal to people who don't know the history behind the genre, with the over the top drama and ridiculous plots that take themselves oh-so-seriously.

But for those that do this is an extremely funny light hearted poke at shows like Power Rangers.

The "hero", is a delinquent super hero called Sunred. A hero without a secret identity because he never takes off his red helmet, even when he's at home with his girlfriend.

The funniest part is perhaps the villains who have to live in the real world. They have jobs, apartments, and friends, but still do their best to be evil in their spare time. Unfortunately like all sentai show villains, success is a word that's not in their vocabulary.

Personally I laughed my ass off all the way through and am queuing up the second episode as I type this.

Again, I heartily recommend it to those who are knowledgeable about the genre.

Good stuff I tell thee.

Today I want to share with you a sound bit of medical advice from Kemeko DX.

So I was thinking about the props for my costume for the next con. It's not like I can just walk around with two Walther P99s, whether or not they'd be real or replicas, I'm likely to get myself arrested in the middle of Seattle or wherever I'll be.

Not to mention I'm not likely to be able to even get them through the airport. So how do I get two Walther P99s to the con? I don't basically.

I was thinking about water pistols or Airsoft guns but I was still worried about someone spotting them from a distance and freaking out. The answer I came to was staring me in the face the whole time.



Two Henkei Megatrons! PERFECT! Just remove the scope, put them in my suitcase in robot mode. No problem at all, they'll fly through customs. All I need do then is transform them into gun mode when I get to the convention centre.

What I would give for this to be real. Sigh.

I question the use of Ready Steady Go as an FF6 opening song, but that is one of the better fan animations I've seen.

Although more seriously, I prefer Amano's original artistic style.

I always thought that Shining Force would make a good cartoon, but they'd undoubtably cock it up by giving Max a lame typical "hero" personality and weave some shite love-story into it.

They don't look fat to me.

Amano's works just aren't visually appealing enough to make a successful animation style IMO. Very artsy but not eye candy.

I don't hate Sailor Moon. I like Sailor Moon, it is one of the most important mangas to me because it is the one that brought me together with the girl of my dreams.

The problem lies elsewhere... I'm sure you know where.

But honestly man... Hamtaro is a little outside our age range. Hell, it's even outside your age range.

For some reason I'm shocked that I'm even surprised by this.

I knew we were overdue for some ridiculousness.

A matter of opinion on the body shape, really - but they're almost certainly ignoring some basic anatomy there.

They're a little outside my sphere of interest. I think they'll be fine without my support anyhow, Doraemon certainly doesn't need any more fans... as it is it has a bazillion already.

Unico needs to get together with Sam Beckett.
