I think sometimes older styles of animation look warmer and newer ones can kind of look colder. Okay that might be my weird way of saying that sometimes the computer animation process takes out the details an things that give it more character. On the other hand it's more efficient and can look nicer than old style if done right. It all boils down to personal taste as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Even so I will say that some cartoons I thought looked ugly when they came out (TFA) eventually grew on me once I gave them a chance. There are a lot of cartoons that I admit I dislike the art styles they have but that doesn't make them a bad show by any means. (I'm looking at you Fairly Odd Parents and your weird shaped world!)

Yeah don't take the things Sabrblade says too personal. He can be one to give people a ribbing.

I feel like Robots in Disguise 2001 is easier on the eyes than Robots in Disguise 2017.

The 2001 animation is more fluid and has more detail.

2017 is choppy, sterile, hollow. It does not blend together. You can see all the layers; it’s obvious that the characters, objects, backgrounds, etc were drawn on separate slides and just placed on top of each other.

2001 feels like an artist drew all the scenes on a single canvas.

Since Energon Omega Supreme can draw power from Primus, grow to planet size, and kill Unicron, as well as stop Cybertron, he may be the most powerful Transformer of all time.

Is Omega Supreme a Titan?

He's not the only one who does that in Energon.

And it happens again with lots of other characters in Transformers: Cybertron.

Nope.

I think we’ve covered a lot of ground. Thank you.

You’ve probably seen every episode of every Transformers cartoon since and including G1.

I still have a long way to go to reach your level of expertise. I still need to get through Beast Wars, Beast Machines, RID 2001, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Prime, Beasthunters, RID 201x, and Rescue Bots. So I understand if all of this is pretty boring and elementary to you.

I’ve seen every episode of G1 and Animated, and I think these are great cartoons to get into Transformers.

I’d like to see how the other Transformers cartoons compare and measure up.

I feel when I get through all them I will have a more complete picture. There’s a lot more to explore. I’ve even started to watch the GI Joe episodes to see if it will help me get more into Transformers, since they are part of the same universe. I hope that I can some day be able to generate as informed opinions on this topic as you so masterfully can.

Right now I’m just a peon compared to you. You have the power so you make the rules. I will bow and bend to your will.

Are Flint and Lady Jaye better than Duke and Scarlett?

I know Duke outranks Flint, but Flint seems to have more exposure in the cartoon. Flint seems to be more of the face of GI Joe.

Plus, they keep wanting to kill or end up killing off Duke.

The G1 Transformers cartoon even honored Flint and Lady Jaye by featuring their daughter Marisa Fairborne, and Flint himself appeared in the G1 Transformers cartoon episode “The Killing Jar.”

Duke and Scarlett seem like they were pushed into the background, overshadowed by Flint and Lady Jaye, not only in the cartoons but also in the movies.
