Take a Classics Seeker mold, preferably a Starscream/Ramjet hybrid. Half-transform the seeker, by folding the cockpit into robot mode, but leave the nosecone intact. Set this on top of the Jetfire/Dreadwind jet, once you've removed the rocket pack. See what I'm getting at? You just need to attach the pegs from the rocket pack to the upper surface of the seeker jet. It means sacrificing an entire Jetfire to do it... but then you could have an effective (if smaller) Darkwing, and still maintain the Dreadwing combined form.
