Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

this thread is really VERY silly.
I saw both movies, and i'm not comparing them to each other in any way. why should just Harry Potter be targeted for getting profits, and not all the other movies out there?
I am completely confused as to why ANYONE would make a thread like this

I'm about to say something that, once unleashed, will destroy this silly argument and replace it with ten thousand others.
Are you ready?
TRANSFORMERS/POTTER CROSSOVER FANFICTION.
You know what to do internet, you know what to do.

Yeah well I figured I'd get a hard time for not liking the movie, but I never thought I'd get sh*t for not picking up chicks in the cake aisle.
I don't hate you, period.
I don't hate you for your review of the movie.

Really? I don't remember anything like that in the books.
And I absolutely detest the term "Four Eyes."

Seen the Transformers movie the first time. Now I am planning to see it again this weekend. It was incredible!!!
Harry Potter is an excellent series. Yet, as for the other sequel, I will wait. Too many sequels!!!

Weekend Tracking: Plotting Harry Potter
After examining the earnings of the summer's other big sequels, Steve Mason concludes that the targets for the fifth Harry Potter are a:
$76M weekend and a $128M five-day opening.
We need to Destroy HARRYCRON this weekend, I call on Optimus Prime and Megatron to Unite STOP the YEARS OF WAR AND TURMOIL to help Destroy these WIZARDS, they shall fall, fall, fall...
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (Warner Bros) followed up its $12M in Tuesday midnight shows with a huge day. Opening days are always tricky. Studio execs are exceedingly coy about numbers as they roll in, and midweek openings are even more dicey. Throw in a midnight start, and there is additional room for error.
Harry Potter 5's opening day may be in the $39M-$42M range. That does include the Tuesday midnight shows. It's very likely that the latest summer sequel has delivered the all-time biggest day for any Harry Potter movie, besting HP4's opening day of $40.1M. The probability is also strongly in favor of Order of the Phoenix becoming the all-time Wednesday box office champ, surpassing Spider-Man 2's $40.4M.
WE NEED TO STOP THIS, ROLL OUT TO YOUR CLOSEST THEATERS AND SUPPORT TRANSFORMERS for a second week, lets help Dethrone HARRY POTTER once and for all...
By the MATRIX, DO NOT LET PRIME DOWN, TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT....To Transformers today, friday, saturday and sunday, LETS SHOW THIS INDUSTRY TO THE POWER OF OUR FANDOM AND FOLLOWING...
We need to help make a good 70 million this weekend or more, starting Friday, lets all Join forces to accomplish what to date has been unstoppable, Harry Potter will be stopped and Transformers Fans will do it...

what kind of losers actively try to rally their fellow fans to waste all their money rewatching a movie to keep it #1 at the box office for another week? i love the transformers franchise as much the next guy, but seriously, who cares?
that being said, i have yet to see transformers. fan or not, after everything i've seen about it (positive reviews notwithstanding) the new movie simply doesn't interest me enough to justify paying for it. potter, on the other hand? i just got around to watching the previous movies a couple of months ago, and i greatly enjoyed them (particularly prisoner of azkaban). i'll probably be going to see the new one tomorrow. so yeah, deal with it.
oh, and if my comments pissed you off, go ahead, flame away. i only bothered commenting because of the sheer idiocy of this concept, and i certainly don't care enough to check back.

I went to my local theatre to see the TF movie at midnight, July 3rd. it was playing in 3 theatres there.
I was forced to go to the HP movie last night at midnight. 15 theatres were playing it. it was hard to walk to the actual theatre/auditorium due to so many ppl being there. They were playing it in 12 theatres originally. They had to open up 3 more theatres to accomodate all the ppl that showed up. When the movie let out, the parking lot, which by the way is about the size of a walmart supercenter parking lot, was backed up with traffic for about 20 minutes.
I don't think it looks good for the tf's.. :/

Umm... Why is it important for TF to do better than HP at the box office... ? We're already getting a bevvy of sequels; I've heard from several sources that Shia's optioned for at least five films.
I like Harry Potter too... is that bad? I also like Star Wars, The DCAU, Spider-Man, and assorted other things, much like EVERYONE else here.
My position:
Go see every movie you think you'll like, and go see them exactly as many times as YOU find them entertaining and/or can afford.

10 times??!?! Are you made of movie tickets?!?! I don't know, but I'm having a little trouble believing that.
It's definitely possible

If "Transformers: The Movie" came out in the late 90s or this millenium, rather than 1986, i would have probably watched it more than 10 times in the cinema. But sadly, it didn't even make it to the big screen in our place back then. So me, and my fellow local autobots

I've watch the tapes hundreds of times. Literally, countless times.
Before the arrival of internet, we thought transformers was history. And we made copies, and protected the tapes like valueble treasures.
Anyway, I've watched this new Transformers Movie 5 times so far. When i get a break from work, and go back to the city (Autobot City?), i'm gonna watch it again.

Everybody hates Harry Potter it sucks. Transformers is uploading the rig. Harry Potter has no chance. Almost all Australian's think it is a load a rubbish. Ever since Transformers showed up in its fully Live Action film, lots more people have become fans including me

I'm a fan of both, and Australian, and I find your comments to be completely inaccurate.
The first four Harry Potter films are in the top 20 highest grossing films of all time in Australia.
And just because the TF movie has attracted new fans that does NOT mean they don't like Harry Potter as well.
