I received my Commander Class Motormaster last week from BBTS. The Stunticons were, without a doubt, among my favorite Transformers I had as a kid. I still have all five, they’re still rock-solid, and I’m excited to complete the new Legacy set next year. I skipped the Fansproject version years ago (had them preordered) because it wouldn’t have felt right to own the Stunticons, and then have to handle them very carefully.
I’ve transformed my Legacy Motormaster multiple times without any issue. He’s got a few tabs here and there, but overall, everything flows pretty nicely. I’d say the compact transformation into Menasor’s upper torso is the most complex part. The trailer is easy to disassemble and put back together. I plan on taking this set off the shelf frequently, to take apart, transform, and display differently. That’s what the Stunticons are to me—fun toys from my childhood!
After I complete the Legacy set next year, I’m planning on retiring from Transformer collecting. I’ve been collecting CHUG since 2006 (and some Cybertron/Galaxy Force since 2005). It was Ryan’s Cybertron/GF galleries that got me back into the hobby years ago. I’m hoping to post some pics of my collection so I can showcase what nearly two decades of CHUG collecting looks like.
