I am going to see it again in a little while so I will try and remember listening carefully at this part.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Isn't that statement itself a stereotype to suggest breakdancing is only something "black people" do? Last I checked, it was pretty much anyone who has the skills to pull it off.

Because only black people use that phrase or breakdance? Yes that was easily my least favorite part of the entire movie, but lets stop jumping to conclusions already.

I saw it 3 hours ago. He did say it, to Sam and Mikaela right after prime introduced them. I think they modeled him after Sam Jackson?

Jazz was retarded.
He is not "the same as in the 80's but a different era."
Jazz had style. It was his voice, his accent, and his mild slang that was a fun, uplifting character. Scatman Crothers was badass. He was not JJ and he did not talk like a jive turkey sucker.
In this, he just parrots stereotypes. And yes, they were black steriotypes. They should have called him Rap. Megatron killing him was a political statement against the degradation of today's youth culture. He's a civil rights hero.
First Rosa Parks refuses to move. Then Martin Luther King Jr. says he has a dream. Then Bill Cosby says african american youths need to get with the program. Then Megatron kills off a horrible stereotype.
How's that for taking it too far?
If they were so married to stereotypes, they should have made Ironhide the black guy and had Jazz be like a modern day Jazz music personality, like a smooth cat, maybe a bit of beatnik. Not too much, but sort of.
Jazz's whole deal was that he was all about style. And what's true style? It's playing it cool, laying back, then busting out with awesomeness when no-one's expecting it. In this he all but flashes the Bloods sign. It was complete showboating from day one. It was Bling. And that's why it sucked.
G1 Jazz was an awesome, awesome character. He had a great toy, he's a fan favorite, and he saved every old episode he was in. I love the fascination with Earth pop culture, but someone with his amount of style should've been able to find something better than fiddy-cent. And don't say he was a newbie to Earth. He should know style, no matter how alien it is too him.

jazz movie profile said he was sorta of like a rocknroll guy but yet he didnt act like it was described. thats was pretty weird. i agree with that they he should been like a smooth cool guy. maybe will smith kind of guy.

Yes, yes he did. I was uncertain the first time I saw the film as well, it took me a second or two to be able to understand what Jazz was saying at all.
In my second viewing I knew to prep my ears, and he does say "little Bitches" when first meeting Sam. Guess he picked it up from the Internet.
I didnt take it as a "black stereotype" characterisation, more that Jazz would see breakdancing on the net, and think that was kinda different and unique, much like himself. As for the greeting, its again unique, and since he had downloaded the internet, Im sure he read plenty of blogs, emails and comments that started in similar fashion, thus deeming it appropriate.

I thought it was funny as hell. That and his breakdance tranformation were a nice addition that the TPTB didnt have to add, making his short screen time that much shorter I would guess. It added alot to his character in a few seconds.
I also liked other stuff like Ironhide asking if he could just blast the humans, Prime told Sam "My bad" after messing up the yard, Bumblebee "leaking lubricant" and shadowboxing, and that whole scene with the autobot sneaking and hiding at Sams house. Things like these in the film (along with beautiful CGI) made them alot more "alive".
