people keep saying that they think the dinobots will return in TF2, im getting confused, are the dinobots seperated with some decepticons and some autobots and battle alongside the autobot and decepticon main charictors (optimas prime, megatron)
Or are they something completley different??

There is NOTHING known about TF2 at this point in time. Therefore NOTHING is known about Dinobots or ANY characters appearing in it.

The Dinobots are a group of Autobots. They would never be any Decepticon groups with the name "Bot" at the end. Likewise, there would be no Autobots with the name "Con" at the end.

There's no reason to be confused. Because they are the Dinobots, they are all Autobots. You're confusing yourself.

i wasnt getting myself confused, i just didnt know what they were.

personally i dont think these dinobots would be very effective in TF2 (if they did turn up) or atleast it would be very very hard to pull of!

Why, so many pelpe have oredyseen the Transformers in the Movie continuity, besides they are not ment to be in disgues, but just the Bots big fighting troops!

Plus they don't have to Transform into Dinos, they could be tanks and stuff, with Dino pics on em.

it would be somewhat bad having the dino bots in the sequel if they where to make that decision but my opinion only if the dinobots where to be in the second release they should go with the war withhin desings where would the dinobots hide if there where to be dinosuars dorment volcano cave, beeing statues in a musem now that i think of it i wouldn mind having the dinobots being in the second film as dinosaurs.

just to see the dinobots hideout in a museum until there called upon everyone freking out that there really alive and not statues.

i think that the dinobots would be very NON affective!!! Big dinos in manhatten or new york or even london. No it would be very non effective and VERY VERY hard to pull of!!
It would also be very cheesy, i would like to just see the normal transformer again, with some old ones such as kup and acree etc.

If they can pull off a giant robotic scorpian, they can pull off huge robotic dinosaurs. To answer your first question though, the Dinobots were five Autobot warriors who thransformed into five distinct dinosaur forms respecitvely. Grimlock, the learder transformed into a T-rex, Sludge turneed into a brontosaurus (now Apatosaurus), Slag transformed into a triceraops, Narl into a Stegasaurus, and Swoop into a pteradon.

The Decepticon, Trypticon, transformeed from a collossal robotic T-rex (think Godzilla sized) into a city and into a mobie base. He is the opposiste of Metroplex.

Godzilla was 400 ft. tall.

If they really wanted them in the sequel, they could pull it off if they were robot dinosaurs that transformed into earth vehicles, like Alternator Ravage. Especially following the Allspark storyline since no one can explain how it works or why it chooses the forms it does

They couldn't pull it off. It's too silly in the eyes of modern audiences. Everyone I've talked was pleasantly surprised with the amount of realism that went into this movie. They would find giant robot dinosaurs lame. Who cares how much damage they could do. Frankly, the less potential you give Bay for mass carnage, the better. I'm so glad he kept things simple for the majority of the film.

And I don't think he'd go for robot dinosaurs anyway.

I still thing they should just be vaguely dinosoid in appearance in robot mode.
