Except Lancers & all other ricers look like ass. And supercars & imports aren't hot rods. Read: hot rod. And the autobots landed in the USA, so naturally they are more likely to copy the more common American vehicles, whether you like American-made automobiles or not.

Plus, who cares about handling? It's all about raw muscle anyways. :D

If you say so. You wont be saying that when you have wrapped your "raw muscle" round a tree or it has caught fire due to poor build quality.

And ricers dont look like ass. They do if someone has no idea how to customise a car, but done right they look awesome, so you are wrong in that aspect as well.

Typical American attitude. 8-|

Raw muscle..peh...

Most of the problems you attribute to American cars haven't been issues since the 70's The Pinto is no longer even built and hasn't been since the early 80s. I drive one of those "Sporty" trucks you refer to. I drive a '94 Ford Ranger. All I drive is trucks. And you want to know something? Ford trucks is really all I like, though a full-sized Hummvee would be nice if I could afford one. :( Alomst every truck I have owned has been a Ford, and I love them. They're the best trucks out there IMO.

Best truck is a Toyota Hilux as far as reliablity goes. They are almost literally indestructable. Watch the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrk6vsb77xk

And as for american ford trucks...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE7oU2KT1T4

And this is from the best car show in the world, so go figure.

Well, considering the vast majority of the film's patrons are American, I don't see why they wouldn't try and appeal to the "typical American attitude". It's not like they're going to go out and make a Eurotrash movie just because a few want to see Porsches and Ferraris all over the place.

Oh, and ALL ricers look like ass. :PEACE:

Sonray, poor misguided Sonray.
two..or one..word(s)..depending on your viewpoint.
Trans Am.
You ever seen a Nova shooting 113 and slipping, only to narrowly avoid the wall through an unmodified steering and brake system, and still pullin' 9.3?

Engine, modified, obviously, bt muscle is all anyone cares about. You have the power, but you need the skill. Obviously it's a man/machine thing.
Think real hard. Saleen.
Then talk to me about crappy American cars.

I wasnt referring to the autobots, i was referring to the typical american attitude of not accepting and ignoring all other things outside of your country, regardless of their superiority or inferiority.

Oh and if ricers did look like ass, then how comes theres been three movies made dedicated to them, and now drifting and import tuning is now such a huge part of car culture?

I think your opinion is just rather arrogant.

Trans Am looks like crap, and handles just as bad too. Unless you are Burt Reynolds you will look like an idiot driving one, either that or a hill billy.

Like i said its not just all about straight line power, because eventually cars come to a corner and how is a big heavy muscle car supposed to take said corner when none of its performance is focused on handling?

I am not mis-guided, i just know what im talking about and am not ignorant and am willing to accept and enjoy more than one type, and brand, of car.

This whole dragstrip arguement bullshit is just...well bullshit as it was never the arguement to begin with.

I am not talking about just ONE particular type of motorsport, i am talking about cars ON THE ROAD and in general.

Besides a Bugatti Veyron would own any of your red-neck home-modified trans am crap any day, seeing as it is the fastest road going car on the planet that is specifically designed to do so, and not just in a straight line either.

It might not do so straight off the line, but give it a couple of seconds to build up speed and it will overtake your trans am like it was standing still. Hit a corner and it will just keep pulling away.

But taking corners seems to be a concept you americans cant seem to understand so theres no point in argueing.

"Dig"?

Dude, you don't get it do you. I don't change my views for anyone. I wouldn't if I got banned. I'm willing to take that risk.

I'm surprised you give a **** about Smokey and the Bandit.
I do enjoy more than one type of brand. Any that are American or divisions of U.S companys, or are affiliated with U.s companies, whether they are owned or simply teamed up. Or, whatever you call it. :-?
You think I don't know about the Veyron?
I don't care if it could launch itself into space on it's own power. I don't care if I saw one for a dollar. I'd never go near one. Unless I had no choice, and then I'd still keep as much distance as possible. Not to mention the front is made of ass..okay..that took a left turn...anyway, it just isn't Aesthectically pleasing on top of it's price. The paint does have it's ways though...

And, I know you knew this, but... dude, Trans Am is also a type of racing in which (usually) cars race around turn upon turn and usually get little straights. I'm not vouching for all of them, but a number.

Um, should we carry it on through PM? I don't like wastin' post count on this.

I mat be outnumbered in this argument, and losing, but an army wouldn't make me think any different.

I've had plenty of people tell me I'm an ass, a retard, a jerk, screwed up, hard headed, and, you know what?

It's all music to my ears. Because they know they can't change me..and..I'm babbling again.

So yeah, I repeat:
should we carry it on through PM?

I love spacing sentences out, seems so...organize...
Yeah right.

I dont want you to change your views for anyone, i just dont want you trying to shove your opinion that all euro and import cars suck down my throat, because not only is that bullshit but its an insult to me as well since i am a fan of many of these (what are to you) "foreign" cars.

You cant go around and say to people that something they like is a piece of **** and not expect some sort of retaliation especially if its me you are talking to.

No i dont want to take this to PM as its a stupid arguement which shouldnt exsist in the first place. I made my point above and explained why this has gone as far as it has and now as far as im concerned thats that with the matter.

Kupp wont ever be in the TF movies anyway so we dont have to worry.

I dunno, we've given Bay more than enough ideas..

Anyway, who said there aren't and American car I don't like?
Whole list actually. Big list. I'm just picky.
I try shoving it down peoples throats because that's the only way I've ever gotten anywhere.
Fight. Simple as that. If I don't, I'm good as beaten. Both literally and...um...mentally seems to strong...spiritually seems a bit weird, so I got nothing. Just Literally.

You can use mentally, i know all about mental stuff since i suffer from most mental illnesses you could think of, plus i am a born genius (8-|) so i understand how the mind works...just maybe not enough to fix my own. :P

I totally understand where you are coming from though, with the fighting stuff. Thats a good way to be, until you cross lines with someone like me that is :P

Dude, I've gotten into worse stuff, you're really one of the smarter ones.

No i cant. But thats a home-made piece of junk. People go way over the top most of the time. Stock import sports cars look waaay better, and pro custom ones look even cooler.

That what you showed me is a really bad example.

Someone made an alternator toy using that model. Looks kinda cool and would fit the whole GM Autobot thing.

Hey, hey. You started it by insulting American automobiles. Police forces wouldn't be using Dodge Chargers & Chevy Impalas if they were terrible handlers like you're saying. You're generalizing all American automobiles based on some stereotype you have. You were being arrogant by claiming Americans can't make quality vehicles, when that is an ignorant and incorrect statement. Ford even took 5 "top-quality" awards in the latest JD Power survey.

You're acting like you were the one who had to do the defending, when you started the argument in the first place. My comments were simply retaliations to yours.

I'm giving you my opinion of ricer-type cars (particularly vehicles in the style of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo or the Subaru Impreza RS) - I just don't like the way they look. I never said they handled like crap. I'm sure they drive like they're on rails. I just think they're ugly. If you like the way they look, more power to you. I don't, and you're being arrogant by thinking that I should.

Yeah, that Chevy SSR does have a Kup look. I'd still want him to be an old pickup, but I'd take that if it were given. :D

8-|

I thought this whole arguement was over.

Listen american cars do handle like crap the last i checked, its not a stereo type but common knowledge. Get over it.

And again, common knowledge not a stereotype, most of them are built like ass too.

Most Ford and other GM cars are built poorly, i.e. plastic interiors that fall apart after a few days use, stone-age designed rear suspension like the Mustang has, useless off-road capabilities despite claiming to be an off-roader, like the F-150.

Now i like alot of american muscle cars, but that doesnt change the fact that many of them are built like crap. Being american yourself you have nothing else to compare the quality of them with so of course you are going to think they are built well.

Um...I've come to realize Sonray is Partially right, there are some American cars that handle Badly, but he is overstereotyping it by saying they ALL do.
But, he does make a point.
