Allow me to rephrasd. Why should non-G1 style Dinobots have G1 colors. If it's based on the G1 designs, such as the energon and animated dinos, G1 colors are expected. The movies dinos are completely new design and 3 of them are completely new dinobots. Why should they have G1 colors when the don't resemble their G1 counterparts?

To rephrase my statement more bluntly, a lot of folks have real boners for G1 homage decos.

Though, to use a better example, there were those Walmart Dinobots that used Beast Wars Neo Predacon molds, yet all (save for Terranotron/Swoop and Sludge) had the G1 silver/red colors.

aside from nostalgia, I think the G1 Dinobot colour scheme is pretty good in general, especially for a whole team. A lot of TF groups have united colourings, even if some of the individual members have their own variations on that theme, and it'd be nice to get these AOE Dino molds all wearing the same outfits. Still, without new heads at the very least I'm not sure I could shove them into my Classics collection as the G1 Dinobot characters, so I'll definitely get the original Hasbro colours first.

There's also the PCC Grimstone figure. It they weren't G1 coloured, then they wouldn't have been sold out everywhere before *I* could get a set!

Wake me when they make the Dinobots in G2 colors.
They never make them in G2 colors...

Seeing this makes me a little disappointed modern figures don't do that "technogreeblies under a glass dome/covering" the original Dinobots did.
