Sabrblade wrote:In that case, since you have seen it all and genuinely did not enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with that. It's your opinion and you have given acceptable reasons to back it.Burn wrote:I personally watched the whole damn thing. I sat through and endured the animation style which I detest, the annoying human characters (except Fanzone, I liked him), and some of the worst jokes i've ever heard.
The only thing I had said was unfair was to judge something based entirely on its outward appearance. You have fully experienced the Animated cartoon series, giving it a fair viewing chance. But you did not find it to be enjoyable due to its art design, its human cast, and its type of humor. None of this appealed to you and that is acceptable.
You gave it a decent chance, but it failed to appeal to you. Therefore, your opinion is justified.
Well, there's more to a series than mere aesthetics. Burn also dislikes its appearance, but provided further reasons to support his opinion saying that it wasn't just the looks but the human characters and the overall scheme of the humor that he didn't like. Though, while he said that he's seen all of it (and based his opinions of it off that entirety), you say that you've only seen some of it. Have you at least gotten through to the better parts like the season 1 finale or into season 2? Otherwise, viewing only a select few episodes doesn't do this series justice.MightyMagnus78 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:In that case, since you have seen it all and genuinely did not enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with that. I've watched enough Animated to formulate my opinion. I've seen enough to know I don't find it particularly aesthetically pleasing. Whats wrong with that?

You're entitled to your opinion mate, don't let any other fool judge or tell you otherwise. They're the ones with the problems, not you.
And there's nothing wrong with that. It's only if such a single aspect clouds the entirety of one's better judgement of the overall scheme of things that it becomes an issue.MightyMagnus78 wrote:True, but I still don't like the way it looks, that's just my own personal preference.
Oh, yes. BM is by no means a bad show. It had a lot of effort and competance put into it, which shows. But, I can definitely see how it fails in the eyes of many.Noideaforaname wrote:Least Favorite
Beast Machines - a bit unfair to call this a "bad" show, as most of it's problems were caused by it directly continuing --awkwardly-- from BW.
The character designs bugged me, especially their faces. Now, I love the Movie Decepticons and Quintessons, and they have some ugly mugs, but they are supposed to be ugly. Beast Machines faces look like an attempt to humanize TFs gone terribly, terribly wrong.

All I'm trying to say is that just because something looks lackluster doesn't mean that everything about it is lackluster.Midnight_Fox wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And there's nothing wrong with that. It only seems to be an issue because you're making it an issue. It's NOT an issue in reality. For a visual medium like cartoons, aesthetics are a large part of the appeal. Yes, story and character development are important, but if you don't like how it looks visual, then you most likely won't enjoy watching it. Why subject your eyes to something you don't like looking at?
It's the same reason I couldn't watch more than a few episodes of Beast Wars.

There's been more than 8 depending on whether you count Japanese only series or not.
I think as a show Beastwars was the best, and Armada the worst.

Don't bother. It's hard to defend Animated against its dislikers.JetOptimus23 wrote:lazerwave217 wrote:The best is g1.![]()

So TFA's well written dialouge and excellent animation beat out Energon's nonsense & Dull Suprise animation? Not to mention G1 season 3 & RiD? I'm sorry, but Animated isn't THAT bad. You are entitled to your opinion, but I urge you to reconsider. Energon was an abomination with few (if any) strong points. It was like a slice of crap in the otherwise fresh sandwich of the Unicron Trilogy. Anywas, I withdraw. Please don't think i'm flaming you, and Animated has weak points too. Okay i'll shut up now.

I agree with you about Energon, though. But, Cyber Missions and Universe were even more lackluster.

You haven't said anything, lazerwave217. You just quoted his quote with no response.
