Have you ever found a video game boss that you wanted to fight for hours? What is your favorite Boss? Is he the most challenging or just the coolest one out there?

My Favorite has got to be Stallord from Zelda: Twilight Princess. I was just wondering what other superior bosses you have found.

Ares from the first God of War. After I finished off the last part (Using the giant sword taken from the Athena Statue) I found that I was sweating and exhausted.

Any boss battle that can make me feel tired like that is a winner in my book.

The end of FFVIII! I flew through the game and just had enough exp. and i missed some Gfs! I refused to start over and also to play for endless hours to gain the proper exp. so i could easily win. It took me a grueling 15hrs to finally win! I swear to god 15hrs straight! I was hitting the buttons with my eyes closed half asleep! I finally won by turning one of my game cards into 100 megapotions (i think that's what they were called) and used a character to fully heal everyone each turn! I was so sleep depraved the details are sketchy but i remember finally beating it and it being one of the most satisfying gaming expieriences of my life! Good times! :D

My favorite of the last few years was the confrontation with Saren at the end of Mass Effect. It wasn't so much the fight with him, but what leads up to it. The first time I saw it, I just kind of sat there with my jaw open, thinking to myself did that really just happen?

For anyone that wants to see it, check this out. It spoils the ending quite a bit, so watch at your own risk.

I always love Metal Gear Solid boss fights. Not sure which is my favourite out of them, but maybe the Mech fight near the end of 2, or the End (character, not the end of the game) in 3.

I gotta throw out another one of my favorite bosses. Bowser on the first Paper Mario at the end was just an awesome fight. It was so intense, and Bowser was just crazy powerful, I love Paper Mario.

I'm gonna go with the Harrier battle in MGS2, not to mention that the boss music in that game is killer. Does anyone know if it is on the soundtrack CD?

I gave it a listen at YouTube. It's kind of a nice twist on the original boss music theme.

And just to stay on topic—the dragon and Guts Tank from Mega Man 2 were pretty sweet too. That was 8-bit eye-candy heaven back in '88.

GLaDOS from Portal. Not cos she was some majorly difficult boss to fight, or because the fight was climactic, but simply cos she freaks me the **** out! Her voice after your incinerate the morality core is just sexy and deadly all in one.

Also the Red Queen from American McGee's Alice, because her voice too freaks me out and she looks repulsive. That whole game gave me nightmares. And I loved it.

Half-Life has a problem with it's final bosses, especially in that they're damn near impossible to figure out. Dr. Breen and GLaDOS both took me a couple of tries before I figured it out. Only one of those had a satisfying ending. (GLaDOS)
