So I joined this site about a day ago, and so far I have learned much more about TF then I thought possible. Being originaly a Beast Wars fan (and having collected alot of the figures) I have only a vague knowledge of any thing outside Beast Wars or, perhaps Beast Machines.
So here's my question, can someone please explain to me the various toy lines?
I seem to get more and more confused with all the terms such as voyager and Convoy and the others. I'm not even sure which Beast Wars figures I own, I just brought them for the characters or the transformations into beast mode.
So please help me further my knowledge, as I really do enjoy transforming the Beast Wars figures, and I would like to learn more about the other arcs as well (such as G1 or the new movie).
Sorry to be such a n00b, and a pain to all of you, but it would really help me not make more a n00b out of myself.

i've learned tons since i've been here!! seems to be a great forum too!! people willing to help the newer peps!! i've been on some other forums were its the total oppisite!

Well, we all like to try to prove who knows the most about TF stuff (and more), so when these kinds of questions are asked it gives people a chance to do just that!

It kind of makes us feel important to other people around here.

As was sadi your question is a little too broad, perhaps you can narrow it don to some mores specific questions.

Meanwhile I can fill you in on the specifics you seem to have mentioned:

There's been way too many lines between G1 and Beastwars, and After Beastmachines. Maybe you can narrow this down, by telling is which one more specifically you'd like to know about.

As for the terms. Voyager refers to a class size and price point for figure. Convoy is just the Japanese term for Prime.

Another thing is the names of all the different size classes of figures changes almost as often as the series names changes

The Transformers Wikipedia page is fairly brief, but has decent amounts of info on it.

The Transformers Archives has some of the best info on the Transformers comics you will ever find.

And for the toys themselves, it is hard to go past Ryan's Galleries here on Seibertron.
