Generations Twincast - Would Hasbro Ever Bother?

Earlier this year, Hasbro put out, what I believe, is the first official Soundblaster toy for the US market in the form of Generations: Fall of Cybertron Soundblaster (with Buzzsaw). That same mold, of course, was used for FoC Soundwave, and then retooled into FoC Blaster. What about Blaster's obscure Japanese only upgrade into Twincast? Yes, Hasbro has already used the same mold three times in the past year, but what's the harm in a forth at this point? I'm pretty sure every time they can reuse a mold for a mass release product, it's just like printing money for them.

Now, provided that does happen, what would they call Twincast? The Soundwave to Soundblaster upgrade is easy to follow, but Blaster's name in the Japanese G1 series was Broadcast, making "Twincast" a natural progression for a new version of the character, must like swapping out Soundwave for Soundblaster. Should Hasbro just forget about preserving the symmetry of that relationship and keep the Twincast name for such a product? Or maybe "retool" Blaster into a brand new name for his primarily blue redeco? Also, what data disc buddy should he come with?

Yeah, Takara/Tomy might make it happen. It would be nice, though, to see an official Hasbro release. It's far cheaper and easier to buy domestically than to deal with importing.

I'm thinking Stripes (redeco of Steeljaw) would be a good choice for a possible Twincast release?

Might also be nice to see some more data disc two-packs. I'm thinking:

Autobots:
Flipsides (maroon Eject/Rewind) with Blockrock (repaint of Laserbeak)
Nightstalker (black Steeljaw) with Rosanna (pink Eject/Rewind)

Decepticons:
Garboil (blue Laserbeak) with Glit (white Ravage)
Howlback (blue Ravage) with Enemy (red and blue Rumble/Frenzy)

Weapon: Battle Blades
It'll happen; it's too obvious. Will probably be e-hobby or TFCC though.

And the data disk will obviously be Counterpunch

Well, now that the FOC phase of Generations is over, I wouldn't bet on it happening from Hasbro as a mass market release.

Unless something happens like if Blaster gets upgraded into Twincast in the IDW comics and uses the Generations FOC toy design as the basis for his new body.

At this point, a Twincast from that mold seems like something best suited for the TCC.

As for the Data Disc partner he'd come with, isn't it obvious? The one that everyone and their mother has been dying to have made from either the Rumble/Frenzy mold or the Rewind/Eject mold: Scrounge. ;)

Blockrock indeed needs some more love. He's so very lonely.

But, we already have a bird-type data disc with a red and black color scheme, thanks to Laserbeak. I was thinking something like a dark, brick red with a charcoal gray for Blockrock, plus the yellow apps to his beak and other random parts of the data disc (like Sunder) would differentiate him enough?

As for a Hasbro mass release of Twincast, I don't think it needs to be marketed under the Fall of Cybertron imprint like the other uses of the mold were. It could be part of the "Thrilling 30" line, or something else entirely down the line. Heck, the only appearance of Blaster in the "Aligned" Continuity is the bio on his package. Anyway, Hasbro really doesn't seem to pay much attention to continuity anymore, leaving much of that up to the discretion or imagination of the consumer.

Ok, who knows Twincast?

Ehm... and Soundblaster?

"Hey, isn't that the tape guy with the funny voice, only in black?"

I think that would explain why we haven't seen Twincast here.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
