Calenatarion wrote:Since I got hooked on Gundam, I also wondered if there are any (quality) Gundam games. I have a XBOX 360 and a PC.
Can anyone fill me in on existing or future games? I only know that there will be a Gundam game for the 360, called Mobile Ops: The One Year War. (or something like that) But I can't really recall the release that (if there is one), IGN/Gamespot or a different site first said the release date was the first quater of 2007...

Shadowman wrote:So they made Federation vs. Zeon. Then they made the sequel, AEUG vs. Titans. Then they fused the two into Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam.
So when are they going to make AEUG vs. Neo-Zeon? I don't care if ZZ Gundam was cheesy and lame, I want to shoot me some Zaku IIIs from the Mega Rider!

I just hope they bring over ZZ Gundam. That way I can see just how "lame" it is for myself. I have heard poor reviews of the first half, but the second half is supposed to be good.

I picked up Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow.
It's not TOO bad, but it's a whole different ballgame from Gundam vs Zeta Gundam.
I agree with the ps2 thing lol me and my friend cept seeing who could get the highest scores out of the main game play, I like all the gundam battle assault games though I like the first ones thrusters system more >.> oddly one of my best suilts was the ZakuII too bad the only suit I near unlocked in the first one was Char's ZakuIIDuke of Luns wrote:Shadowman wrote:So they made Federation vs. Zeon. Maybe the upcoming PS3 Gundam Mushuu(think that's what it's called) will suffice. Dynasty Warriors+Gundam sounds like fun, and it has the Turn-A Gundam!
Anyway, if anyone hear has a working Dreamcast I would suggest Mobile Suit Gundam Sidestory 0079: Rise from the Ashes. I think it was one of the earlierst Gundam games to come to the U.S. I know it wasn't on the list of systems, but it's one of the more interesting Gundam games.
For starters, you control the mobile suit from a first person cockpit perspective. Before each mission, you choose your shield, weapon, and mobile suit(total of three, though there is one only available in the last mission). Your on a squad of three, and it's the closest thing the U.S. gets to a Gundam simulator. Oh, and one thing: You dont' control a Gundam at all, only GM's and a Guncannon you have to unlock through proper completion of a mission. The controls are a little hard to get used to and it takes a while to kill a mobile suit, but it's interesting with a few multiple situations. Once again, recommended.
There was a Gundam game for the PC called Gundam 0079: The War For Earth. That was officially the first Gundam game to ever come over to the U.S., back in 1997 according to gamefaqs. I've never played it. Comments state that this is from the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z--WPxzR2rQ, though I can't verify that.
As for Gundam on the PS2, there's Battle Assault 3 Featuring Gundam Seed(and a few suits from Wing and G). It's a decently fun fighting game and I enjoyed it. Journey to Jaburo is a decent game that launched with the PS2. It is nowhere near great and can get repetetive, but it has some neat reanimated scenes from the original Gundam. If found for $5 or less, it's worth it. It has a couple suits not found elsewhere in the U.S. games (unless I'm mistaken), Like the Kamfer and Blue Destiny, and Hy-Gogg in a non-fighting game format. I think the graphics are pretty decent still.
