how do YOU have your movie SS transformed?

Postby ZedzDead » Sat Sep 08, 2007 4:03 pm

with all of this mold's wing panels, there are several different ways to position them for the final pose. i do not like how wide SS's shoulders are, so i flipped the back wings forward and pushed his shoulders up and inward. in this position, his shoulders are very proportionate and look a helluva lot better, except for the wings now being in front are more intrusive than b4. but i guess for better posture i can live w/ it for awhile.

I now transform my seekers just like you have your G1 redeco. Very cool!

However, I do like to lay the fins on each shoulder down flat.(the fins on each side of his head)

I have all 3 movie seekers open as well ... they really look cool standing next to each other.

well then try to position his wings and shoulders like i have them. we are in the same boat. he actually looks decent w/ his arms up like that. i loath the original way to TF movie SS. today while i was pla...err, posing him, i tried to come up w/ a solution, and to me this is the best way w/o modding him.

oh, and the reason i have the wings in diff positions is b.c i wanted to give eack seeker its own look. i'm a dork i know.

cool, I like how dropping the automorph slightly gives his arms a bit more room to move around. They actually lock in place, too. Niiice!

Those hands are doc ock hands from a spiderman 2 toy. Looks like he jammed them in the center of the guns.

The heads of Thundercraker and G1 redeco SS are the same, but the eye light piping is different on mine. Thundercracker has a lighter colored plastic in there, how about everyone else?

I mayhave to buy another Tcracker and switch the head onto G1 redeco SS.

That's exactly what he did. So did I. You'd be amazed at how well it works. It's so simple. Though the claws he used, I put on Jazz, and I put the the other set of Doc Ock's claws (the ones that are articulated) on Starscream.

I transform Starscream normally, as per the instructions, but I do leave the dorsal fins down against the chest like Zedz has them. I leave the shoulder fins down as well.

After playing around with the alternate movie seeker transformations ... I decided to pose them with the movie Autobots.

i have to say, i am starting to REALLY like the seekers b/c of that one alteration. they look half decent now, and not so deformed lookin. even tho i havent had probs w/ them coming loose on me, its the opposite (they are pretty solid), i even put a doubled up packaging clear rubber band around the 2 posts on the arm rods in back. now the thing is even moreso a solid fig. i did this to all 3 seekers. i love it!! yowza!!

used to see them everywhere, but now he's gone. i've found only one so far. if you see him, get him even at 8 bucks. you wont regret it. plus you can use the left over arms for like ammo magazine belts.

Hahaha I suspect that's what everyone now wants to know, and he'll be like BB08 when we start hunting for him in earnest just to give SS, G1 SS and Thundercracker hands.

How many hands does this Doc Ock come with, and how many do I need to buy to outfit all three seekers? Anyone have a link to a pic?
