So in my oppinion they should have blocky main design but with a touch of higher tech

similar to RiD?

that wasnt bad IMHO.
Agreed. RiD had a great art design for its bots.

Yeah kinda like that. But in CGI design instead of anime.

You might reconsider that once you see some of that art design done in CGI here:

I know I'm gonna get some heat for this but............ I vote for the look that going on recently in the comics by artists like Alex Milne Image and Don Figueroa - Image. It perfect combines the look of G-1 with the edginess of Michael Bay's movies with just a right bit of Japanese Mech/Gundam bad-assness 8) 8) 8) . Plus, I may be reaching here, but is it just me or do they look an awful lot like the Classics toy line that was out years ago?

I'd rather we get the return of the AEC designed/sculpted TF toys in the future. with some of the Rid new molds,classics/generations designs thrown in.

Ongoing style or some variation thereof I wouldn't mind...the faces could probably stand to be made more distinguishable than Figueroa's, though, without being quite as average-looking as Milne's; I'd probably take cues from the WFC head designs or even those quickie portaits of 'Bee, 'Screamer, Ironhide, Prowl and Megatron that Su posted on his dA page.
I got yer new Captain America right here!

While they might, at least these still like credible robots. 8)

I thin the only real way anyone might get a G1-esc series going is if they made it themselves. Dr. Smoov is one of the very few to do this, and he even gets the G1 voices right.

Unfortunately these would likely have to be approved by Hasbro (unless they don't mind these sort of things, I don't actually know) and might just be confined to the 'Net and not TV. But then I supose it wouldn't matter, as most everyone has a computer nowadays. :CON:

Though to be honest, I do wish Dr. Smoov would do a G1 series, as he seems to have the comedy and characters right, even if this time it will be meant for adults. He did an amazing G1 CGI advertisement for BotCon one year, and I'd love to see him do more.

It's about time we grown-ups had our own TF fun, and not just have series more meant for the kiddies. :BANG_HEAD:

I think a blend of G1 and movie-verse like WFC is good. An update but staying true to the original. Figueroa's art (though it kinda rubs me the wrong way) does a good job with it. Same with WFC. I believe the mistake the movies made was not staying true to the original enough.
