Prowl/Camshaft and Jaguar Ravage are also easy to transform.

Yet Leader Prime is a much more complex figure than Alternators Prime.
Wodicus wrote:I own plenty of the movie figures and with the acception of the first time I transformed them I didn't feel like they were of poor quality in terms of material. Now I think some of them have poor design features, such as Deluxe Brawls arms, but I don't feel they'll fall apart in my hands or wear out any more then other TFs I own.
megatroptimus wrote:You either don't own a lot of Alternators or you have a very short-term memory because most Alternators are not very poseable.
Sideswipe/Deadend/Sunstreaker : almost no leg poseability
Windcharger/Deceptichar : almost no leg poseability
Hound/Rollbar/Swindle : odd shoulder articulation and hard to pose legs
Optimus Prime/Nemesis Prime : hard to pose legs
Tracks/Battler Ravage : hard to pose legs
Rumble : hard to pose legs and arms
That leaves about 3 poseable molds : Subaru/Mazda (pretty much the same thing), Scion and Mustang. That's not a lot. Now I could give you a pretty long list of movie toys that are more poseable.

That's where you're entirely wrong : several movie figures are MUCH more complex than Alternators (especially the ones mentionned). Leader Prime, Leader Brawl, '08 BB, Dropkick, Ironhide, etc. Some figures smaller than Altetnators achieve more complex transformations, not even mentionning that they have automorph gimmicks when Alternators have zero gimmicks.

For once, we agree.
I finally got it figured out just right, but those first few times were nothing short of nervewracking. I couldn't figure out what the issue was (I knew it was the plunger device, but he was still falling over even after I shifted his weight forward.)
I'm still not quite sure how I did it, but he's balancing now. *shrugs*

lanzajr26 wrote:megatroptimus wrote:Plastic quality hasn't changed, it's the complexity of the toys that changed, requiring more and smaller/thinner parts to achieve transformation. Back then, you would transform a huge solid block of the same plastic 1-2-3, but now it's more 1-2-3-4-5-...-20.
Then why don't Alternators suffer this same problem? Sure some of them have spots that feel like they'll snap in half during transformation but on the whole they are pretty solid. Overall they are just as complex yet still feel more durable than the Voyager or Deluxe movie toys.
