I don't. G Gundam was waaaay too close to DBZ to be anything good, right down to the Hyper Mode/Super Saiyan.

Greek Optimus wrote:I disagree G Gundam was an interesting way to fit a gundam and martial art series in one. I mean the Hyper Mode did copy it, but it was kinda of a good series.
Greek Optimus wrote:Right now I just finished the last episode of Gundam 00 for season 1, and it was damn amazing! Great series, can't wait until season 2!

Shadowman wrote:I'd be watching it now, but Mendoi-Conclave/Menclave hasn't even finished Episode 23. I mean, I kno what basically happens, an it does sound epic, (MAHQ gave episode 23 a 5/5) I just haven't seen it yet. I can't complain, though, since I'm not paying for it.

Here you go, you'll need to download CCC to watch the episodes from here, but its better then waiting.

Roadbuster wrote:Problem with Gundam in America, they spoiled so many kids on Wing that kids thought Gundam was all about five Gundams and if there were less than five and they weren't blowing stuff up left and right, they weren't interested. UC, you had the Gundams actually struggling against Zaku's, Goufs, and Doms, etc. (these were the grunt suits of "Kill'em all" Tomino's reign and they were actually good for ahwile until Amuro or Kamille became an ace.)
Roadbuster wrote:Kids weren't interested in the classic MSG with dated animation, which is most likely why we never got Zeta and ZZ sooner (not to mention Zeta would've been butchered beyond recognition if put on CN). G Gundam was interesting, but if they really wanted to try and keep audiences interested, they should've gone with Gundam X late night while G Gundam took the afternoon slot. Then they'd probably have had more of an audience left for Seed.

We know Setsuna will make a miraculous comeback and probably with a prosthetic arm given the nasty injury he sustained fighting Graham now a at the end. With Cobra Comma... erm... Graham and Ali still alive and the stuff with Saji left unresovled, it's too early to kill him. The question is how. Most likely scenario is Felt, the doc, and Sumeragi find him and get him the attention needed, while laying low. Given we know the doc is still alive and knows the location of ) Gundam this is probably the most likely scenario. Se don't see Sumeragi and Felt int he preview, this could hint at how Setsuna survives and indicate he's with them. But one thing is certain, they need a new fan-service bridge bunny with Christina dead.
Plus with Setsuna undoubtably coming back and Tieria being the only other Meister with a story worth telling that's still alive, they're gonna need to fill spots left by Lockon and All/Hall. Nena will probably fill Lockon's spot if she's not working for Rivonz. And if I were to nominate anyone else for a Meister, I'd go between Soma and Saji.
Destiny wouldn't last half way through it's run due to ratings.

A few non-Gundam suits could stand up to Gundams, but they were usually specialized and/or one-of-a-kind suits, and were usually, but not always, built by Scirocco. The man knew his way around mech design.
Speaking of, did anyone els notice how the Jupitris appeared in Gundam 00? It's very obvious. I mean, aside form the massive damage, it's pretty much the same ship.Roadbuster wrote:Kids weren't interested in the classic MSG with dated animation, which is most likely why we never got Zeta and ZZ sooner (not to mention Zeta would've been butchered beyond recognition if put on CN). They did a dub for Zeta, and it was pretty well done. I assumed they knew they'd never get it on TV, and that they were pretty much releasing it for the sake of releasing it.Roadbuster wrote:But seriously, if CN ever considered a Gundam revival on their channel, 00 on Adult Swim is the best way to go. I've been wondering what the deal is with Saji. I figure he's going to end up in a Mobile Suit, mostly because the only other purpose he could serve is a view from the sidelines.

Shadowman wrote:What I found strange was that it looked like they Zeta'd the cast. (That being almost everyone died) But then Graham comes back with a Freddy Krueger face, Ali is still alive (Or Patrick took up drinking, they look a lot alike), and Tieria is still alive. It's not too bad. I did want SOME of he cast too survive. And if it had to be anyone, I would have said Tieria.
Also, Sumaragi did a Brightslap. Good to see that tradition is still alive.

Yeah, that's the 0 Gundam, the only mech in the series that was designed by Kunio Okawara. It also appeared at the very beginning of Episode 1. (Being the Gundam that saved Setsuna)

Well think about it, this is war, so they made it realistic by having both sides have casualties and evened out the field with the GN-X's.

Can't like Wing where the Gundams just owned everything that was thrown at them everytime, and barely took that much damage. I sitll have a feeling Lasse is alive since we did not see the GN-arms completely destroyed, there's hope that he is still alive.
Also the skip to the future was essential. The Gundams destroyed all but a few GN-X's, not too mention Alexander's gold suit which was their trump card. The Gundam that was in the best shape was Kyrios, but all of them had basicly been rendered useless and i doubt the Dynames had been repaired. Celestial Being needs more power to be able to fight the mass numbers of new GN-X's, so they went into hiding to upgrade their gundams, create more original furnaces for the Trans-Am system. The war is just about to begin, we had the luxury of skipping the preparation and upgrading parts. : )

Alejandro was not with the world forces side. He was a member of CB but had his own adjenda. But so did Rivonze.
CB is small but has the best technology. Plus you can't exactly roll out GN drives over night. And if they did, CB would be too strong. It's better when the main characters are overwhelmed as it creates more jeopardy.
Exia seemed in much better shape than Kryios. but then again it doens't matter since Exia seems it will get rehauled into 00 Gundam, using parts form 0 Gundam, judging from the obscure image was saw at the end of the preview.
