Ok before you judge...check the thread, "A moral question please respond." I'm almost batting 1000.
...so I'm walking down the toy aisle at a walmart and what do I see? Jack $hit right? As usual empty pegs everywhere? Then I turn to my brother and say, check this out...follow me. I then take him three aisles down to an end cap that's strangely far away from the transformers section. Here we see tons of voyagers and prime vs. megatrons classics. An employee told me a couple weeks back that this is a spot no one knows about. The 10 or so P vs. M's were somewhat interesting in that they had these funny little promotionals stuck at the top...with two little mini-cons in a plastic case. Neat right, uhhhh whatever? No biggie. So off we go....heading to leave empty handed once again.
On our way out we walk by this absolutely gigantic, I mean fifteen foot tall (check pics) pile of unopened toys!!At this point if you have read my thread titled, "The night I've been waiting for should I go?..EDIT SCORE," then you know darn well I know exactly what I'm looking for? The box marked, "Do not open before June 2nd." At first I thought it was the one marked May 1st but in the end these only contain early waves. So in my mind I know I'm looking for the June 2nd box. Looking, looking, looking suddenly right there in front of me there it is!! Wave 4 marked June 2nd. Then tons of feelings start to rush through my head. Should I be doing this? Meanwhile my twin bro is egging me on, do it man, do it. He says, I'll play look out!! So I bust out my keys, give the box a good scrape and BAMMMM!! BB08 for the second freaking night in a row!! (the one from the night before was on the peg!!) This is insane I'm thinking to myself. I grab it along with Arcee and head to the front to pay, hoping no employee has seen me do it. Then my bro and I get to talking. Yah know, I says to my bro, I already have Arcee, I think I should put her back. Some kid would love her. But guys I had to keep the BBO8. On a side note I had just come back for Kohls which was right next door and left two BB74s and a Barricade. Didn't buy a thing( I know they weren’t BB08s). Back to the story, I then decide I will put her back. So again I go back to the opened box to find room to slip her back in. Funny, I don't know why I didn't take her to the regular transformer section? As I'm looking in I see something out of the ordinary...WHAT THE!!! Is that what I think it is? BAMMMMM a Final Battle Jazz it all its glory!! I figured it was karma maybe sorta paying me back...for putting the Arcee back? Who knows?
Ok now on to theory...I know many may disagree but I don't care anymore.
People the freakin toys we all want are in the stores as we speak!!! Do you know how many boxes I saw tonight on pallets and in recent days at different locations marked Transformers? So many I would have a hard time counting them. My belief now is that employees just don't have the man power to get them all out or the store simply lacks enough organizational leadership to get the TF toys out. I mean toys coming out marked, DO NOT PUT OUT BEFORE MAY 1 AND JUNE 2? Does that mean they have had them before may 1st and june 2nd? To give walmart a fair shake maybe they just got them yesterday? I'm not judging....but my guess is that they have had them since before the movie...or even before May 1st? Wow that's a long time to be sitting on merchandise?!
If you are home and want an edge up look for the following on pallets in the aisles at your local Wal-mart starting around 10pm!!! The box is clearly marked in red on the side, Wave 4 June 2nd. Yes I drove 10 miles home and back to get pics for you guys. On my drive back home to get my camera I was thinking about all of you. I knew I had to share what I knew. Also I must say that when I got there to take pics I couldn't find the box!!! After searching found it nearby and it had been completely rummaged through. Arcee was nowhere to be found!!!
Initially, I was scared that a lot of you would judge me for looking in unopened boxes but I now know though my little poll that the vast majority of you are on my side. As I write this I'm 6 for 6 in favor of those that would indeed open an unopened box on a pallet.
(side obervation before I post this: Wes Crayon I just read your post and I do agree with you somewhat....now I am feeling more guilty. Dang it, I hate to make someone else's job harder. Also I must point out that this particular walmart was overly loaded with gigantic piles of merch on pallets in every aisle. Many pallets over 10 feet high and 20 feet wide!! I know that it is normal at night to have boxes out but as I said this store was over the top!! And one other thing I noticed was that there were tons and tons of opened boxes on pallets in the aisles right next to automotive that people had gone through, filters taken out, belts, etc. Maybe in a way this store owed it to its customers to let them get what they needed. Hey if the employees can't find the time to put them out? Again check pics.
