Woo, picked up TFP Wheeljack, Ckiffjumper, and Soundwave at Target in Yorktown mall tonight. Had to ask for a case to be pulled from the back, no prob. The DPCI search site said they have Voyagers too, i didn't ask. Now i need all y'all to buy some of the stuff in my sale list so i can pay for these things. Dangerous hobby.

Target on E State in Rockford has a couple Voyager TF: Prime Optimuses (Optimi?) out on the shelves.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Whelp I won't lie. I was pretty disappointed by the fact that Has-blow canceled their First Edition line, with distribution being absolute garbage in the states. But holy crap, I can not even express how hard I laughed when I saw the price for the RID voyagers. 26.99!? nearly an 8 dollar increase for a VOYAGER class figure because it has some crappy LED gimmick!?. On top of a mold that has inferior paint apps compared to their cousins? I'm sorry but no...just no.

I will gladly go pay my scalper prices on Ebay for the First Edition's. This line has already ruined itself in my eyes by releasing two different molds. The latter being the shittier looking, on top of the explosion in price.

Yes I see the hypocrisy is complaining about price and then paying scalper prices. But at least with scalper prices I know I'm getting the superior product that we should have gotten in the first place.

Yeah. $26.99 is the as-usaully-inflated price at TRU.

Last night, TRU on Butterfield had a couple TFP Cyberverse figs- Bee and a single Vehicon, along with the one Arcee that I bought. She looks great w/ the Deluxe figs.

Several Bot-Shots too, they are so tiny and cute! Mostly OP, a Starscream, Bee, a couple others.

Hello everyone!

Im making a trip to Chicago this weekend, what collectible shops do you recommend? I see there is a Rotofugi and a Quake Collectibles. I might go check those out.

Thanks!

Not sure if you've already been in town, but Quake is a cool place. I like going there to browse the store. It's like the childhood dream toystore that has a little of every toyline you could want, and then the bins of loose (and often broken) figures.

Rotofugi is all vinyl figures and stuff, of which I'm not a fan. But some of them look kind of neat.

I already went. Quake was closed and there was a sign on the door saying his wife had kidney stones, lol. I thought it was odd.

Rotofugi was very cool. I too am not really into all that but I appreciate it. My wife enjoyed it. I usually buy her a blind vinyl figure every time I go to my local collectible toy store.

The Kmart in Des Plaines had a full case of Transformers Prime RID out as of 5:30pm, as well as the new TFP RID Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Battle Masks. There was a Soundwave, 2 Cliffjumpers, 2 Wheeljacks and 3 Bumblebees there when I was there. Happy hunting!

Toynk.com isn't too far from the city, just a few miles west of O'Hare. Unfortunately they're only open from 9:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, closed on the weekend. Was just there today ... snagged a few United figures: Blurr, Wheeljack, Jazz, and Thunderwing. They had a Henkei Hot Rodimus there surprisingly, as well as United Rumble and Frenzy. If none of you have been recently, I'd recommend checking them out.

Walmart in Glen Ellyn, Rt 53, has a bunch of toys on clearance, some in the garden/seasonal section, some on tables near the registers, ans some in Toys. Noteably, they had a few sealed ROTF Voyagers, $13-Ratchet, Ironhide, Grindor, Optimus, Demolishor. Also the Bumbleebee/Soundwave 2-pack, ddn't see a price.

Also had a few TFP deluxes, first wave including a single Soundwave, and 4 Optimus Primes.

I went in Saturday to this TRU to see if they had put anything out and they had. To my utter astonhishment (and a very anticlimactic yawn) they had put out...

(drumroll)

...more Bumblebees. No joke. There were 16 TF Prime BBs on the shelf. And no other figures new figures.

Went looking for Bot Shots at the Lombard Target on 22nd St., nothing. no TFP at all yet.

I still can't believe DOTM got hosed at the Oscars. I'm sure the Academy just refused to honor a "toy movie", period. Hugo was a freakin' cartoon, nothing more. DOTM had giant alien robots and the destruction of downtown Chicago, all utterly realistic. Foul.

Agreed. The reason the movie won was simply because it was Martin Scorsece. It was a reputation win. it was NOT a good movie by any stretch.
