That wont happen. Due to stupid safety regulations there wont be any long smokestack versions released anyplace other than japan, thats even IF they re-release the figure.

I think you are being too fussy. Beggers cant be choosers and you have various alternatives to an MP Prime that is just AS GOOD as an MP prime and alot cheaper and easier to find, yet you insist on being so picky, even if that means you will go without in the long run.

My advice, buy the 20th anni prime (it doesnt have to be from ebay), get over the little bit of battle damage paint, buy your own replacement long smoke stacks and be happy. You will have a just as impressive as the MP-01 figure for less than half the price and for the same quality. Then order the trailer from justittoys or off of ebay if you NEED a trailer.

Or make your own trailer...

I doubt Hasbro will re-release 20th Prime again after it sold so poorly this time. However, that's their own damn fault for making it look like crap for the DVD Edition.

Hasbro said that they would be releasing Prime's transforming trailer in the near future. Wait for that. I think dvd Prime is great with the anime colors. Orange red is the color he had in the show too.

I've also heard MP-04 Prime'cab is orange red too. Except it has chrome. Don't waste your money. Just get the trailer after Hasbro releases it.

Honestly, what would they have to gain from it? There isn't a high demand for an MP-size trailer.

If you are lucky, Takara may do another production run on the Masterpiece Primes since they sell so well. But they do not, in 6 months time, it will likely be more expensive.

TFSource.com currently has MP-04 for $220 before shipping and I can vouch for them. They are very reliable.

From left to right: MP Prime, DVD prime, Ultra Magnus, 20th anniversary prime, and what i would assume is another takara MP Prime at the end.

As you can see the 20th anni prime is the same colors as the MP prime, just with added battle damage paint which isnt much of a distraction anyway and IMO makes him look better, the only difference from that is the short smoke stacks which, again, can be replaced with longer die cast ones off of ebay.

it was on clearance @ toysrus online. generally it's around 60-70 bucks, you can still find it at walmart, it's the 20th ann prime, like it says in the product description before the pic

okay so the clearance price has just changed then. its for 89.99 on the site.. both links now. was that way yesterday too.

also my walmarts haven't had this thing for months as i'm sure they'd be a gone at the price i last saw him (at least $30). The wal-mart site has him for 70.

The next to useless TRU in my area still has lods of the 20th anni prime left. Got bugger all else that i ever want though, not even the deluxe movie figures, just stupid protoforms and fast action battlers. Yeah they got the voyager class ratchet and ironhide and all that, and leader prime and megs but no bumblebee or barricade?? WTF?

Instead their shelves are still full of those lame ass protoforms, and its not like bumbles and barricade have sold out cos there isnt even a shelf spot for them, just protos. Same goes for Argos, i swear these shops are useless, completely useless.

okay sonray, beside ebay where can i buy the first issue by hasbro under $200 bucks? i mean the same price range as the reissue of prime. i asked toysonfire, which they sell it for 200 bucks was already sold out in store. and they're expecting to wait for the 3rd wave of mp-04 this late august which will cost 300 bucks or more. the thing is i can't buy the figure when my mom's around, cuz she'll kill me!!! so i had to buy it when she's not around. she say she will be going elsewhere around mid-October. sounds absurd right?! cuz every toy that i bought, i had to act sneaky even with my own money, and i'm 20 by the way. so let's hope there's one available around October and please don't increase the price any higher then. i guess like most people, parents don't expect their teenagers still playing with toys. i would like to say, it's more about playing with it, it's more like a hobby, some are into stamps, others to model cars, and some to robot collecting. also these toys do bring a lot of childhood memories.

If you are 20 years old then i think its time you put your foot down and told your parents not to control your life anymore. Legally, you can do what you like, except drink alcohol, so tell them to deal with it and buy whatever you like, ESPECIALLY if its your own money.

And why cant you use ebay again? I'll look around later for alternative sites that sell the 20th anni prime for you.

hey sonray, please send me a link to few sites of selling the 20th prime. the reason i hesitate to deal with ebay is because there's a lot of scam, and i personally dislike the idea of bidding. cuz it's more likely for the dealer to prefer to have their items to sell more expensive. the buyer on the other hand would like to pay less as possible. btw, the dealer recently terminates my bidding privileges for unknown reasons, maybe he thinks i bid too low. anyway if i get one in store, i will have a greater chance to exchange the product unless if it's defective. but if you buy it from a ebay dealer, he or she won't give a crap for swapping figures, cuz it's unlikely he has more than one of the same figure. and most dealers like that after receiving the money, they won't be contact or located. so you're on your own if you got a defective figure since the ad says it's in mint condition, or unopened which are mostly lies rather truth.

i think i'm going to call toys r us online.. hopefully if i bark loud enough they'll honor the price from 2 days ago?

i don't think so, rule is rule, and u gotta play by them. if you miss the first ride, that's too bad, if u want the figure so badly, why not just pay the price they given. i paid mine a week b4 the cleareance, what a bad timing, but no biggie, i bought it from toysonfire.com, and they never lower its price, only goes high...

yea your right.. there is no way they are going to set the price back. seems odd to me that the lowered a figure's price down to raise it back up in a matter of what couldn't have been but a couple days.. checked the link after you guys posted less than 24hrs later and he was full price again.. looks like to ebay i am for the mp!

how long will the masterpiece optimus prime 04 be on the market? for those who misses the mp-04, will they be planning to re-issue in several years with much better anticipated up-grades such as including roller in the trailer. and a black instead of grey gun.
