He looks pretty cool and I liked him in the movie but I want your opinion about him. Thanks!

The green is fine, my room is painted a more vibrant lime green. Although I accept that its hardly a traditional colour for Ratchet. Do not let it put you off.

Yeah buy him he is awesome and simple. Looks meaty and tough and his alt mode is pretty sweet too.

One thing ive noticed is many of these movie toys are just like alternators, since their alt modes are based on real cars, i.e. camaro, solstice, hummer, gmc truck etc etc. No wodner hasbro stopped making alts, these toys ARE the NEW alts!

I had the same thought a while back but I dont think they can really compare. The Alts/BTs have an extra level of detail and realism to them.

I dont see why we couldnt have had Jazz, Bumbleebee, Barricade put through the Alternator design machine, they would be awesome.

ratchet is one autobot that really resembles the cgi render even the bulkiness and height. I got ironhide and he looks fine but no bulky enough on the hips part too thin but his great not as big as ratchet

I definitely think hes worth it and he is on my must have list.

The trouble I'm having is choosing between the movie version and the Rescue version. I like the color of the movie version, but I like having a medic look like a medic.

What do you guys think?

Oh i agree. I never said they was better than the alts, but they definately resemble the alts line. I loved the alts personally, i hope they bring em back.

Big red letters saying "SEARCH AND RESCUE" all over the alt mode doesnt make him look like a medic?

It does, but the rescue version has the true ambulance look to it, while I've never ever seen a rescue vehicle look like that.

i read somewhere that hasbro stoped the alts/bt line because they were not making money out of it.

Probably. They was kinda pricey and useless as toys, but masterpieces for us collectors.

Yes to keep MISB and on display as such. Horrible figure. Get OP instead.
BWOP: "Die-cast construction...It's a lost art!"

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

I hate figures that are kept MISB. IMO it defeats the purpose of the toy, which should either be played with, or displayed and looked after, not kept in their cardboard prison.

Are you trying to say that the alts looked like crap in bot mode as well? If so i have to whole-heartedly disagree with you there. To me they are some of the best looking TF's ever created.

Wow, you learn something new everyday. The more I look at it the better I like the color.

So I think I will go ahead and get the movie version. Thanks for the help my friend.

And I agree with you about the MISB issue. I couldn't justify spending money on any figure and then just putting MISB on a shelf.

What is there to do with it besides look at it? They're meant to be transformed. Break them free of their plastic prison and you feel 100x times better.

Not forgetting the fact that they look a million times better posed on the shelf as opposed to sitting in a box.

i agree as an actionfigure collector i feel some plastic bond between my figures even the most buttlooking figure that i got by just desperately getting a set of figures because i want a single figure among that set i release it because it i feel sorry for the figure in prison...

This is the only Voyager that I keep seeing in full stock at Target, and it's a crying shame. It may not be as posable as some of the others, but it has awesome build quality and is great fun to transform. It's just not pretty enough I guess. I like Ratchet second to Starscream for the Voyagers.
