I thought I would start a topic devoted to M.A.S.K. since people had started to talk about the matt tracker figure that was part of the G.I. Joe line of figures. I was wondering how many people even remember M.A.S.K. and what figures they still have. I also which vehicle was there favorite and what it turned into, also what there hope was for the future of the M.A.S.K. franchise.

I went thru a box of old stuff from my old place on Sunday and mixed in with Lego and some random TF's (Groove, Strafe, pretender Jazz) was a Miles Mayhem figure. I remember getting him from a freind years ago, but completely forgot until now. (He trashed his Switchblade thou,)

Favorite vehicle I had was the ThunderHawk, Flying Camero, does it get better than that?

Favorite vehicle i wanted was the Jackhammer, the bronco/tank. A buddy had it and it was pretty sweet. If Hasbro does continue MASK within Joe, then it has to be one of the vehicle most likely to get upgraded.

I wonder if Hasbro is going to have any storyline for this beyond the retcon on Trakkers Filecard? If not, then if/when Ryan gets JoeCobra up and running then I'd love to see a MASK area put in there where we can put up both the Kenner history for the character and group and also write up a ret-con history with the Hasbro universe.

I remember the show. I hate to say it but most of my toys got trashed over the years. I loved Trackers car but the doors wouldn't ever stay up for me. I always used it to drop T-Bob and that kid out of it to rescue. lol

Thunderhawks were notorious for having a weak spring that was supposed to keep both doors right up. It was a problem for most owners i've spoken to over the years.

Additional, with MIckey Convoy in at BBTS, I'm shipping my Pile o' Loot today so I'll have Specialist Trakker shortly. :APPLAUSE:

All I really remember was that the each set of wheels, like the two on the right, would fold down to create the "wings" and afterburner type things to keep it in the air.

I believe the majority of the figure was orange, and the "wings" were dark greyish

flip out wheels for wings, sounds a bit like the Manta.

Ouch, that sounds very familiar yet I'm just not placing it. The Closest I can think of in MASK would be the Bullet, which was a motor bike that converted to a hovercraft by spliting the wheels.

Damn I know I've seen an ATV that does that but i'm just blanking on where.

I just looked the Bullet up and that was definitely not it :-(

I'm going to my storage unit soon, if I see it anywhere in there I'll get it out and try to take a picture.

I didn't think it was the Bullet, It was just the closest in idea to your ATV.

Please do, this is now quite interesting to me, seeing it seems like something I know I've seen before.

I loved Mask as a kid. I'd like to see Hasbro release something like 25th anniversary version of the original vehicles. with better paint apps, and stuff like that.

I had quite a few of the toys too.

Lets see, I had

Condor (which I still have to this day)
Firefly
Slingshot
Switchblade
Vampire
Manta
Firecracker

My cousin had a few others including Bolder Hill.

I always wanted Rhino, Stinger, Goliath and Buzzard.

But Specially Stinger, there's something about a muscle car that turns into a tank that just seems right to me.

I enjoyed MASK, cool vehicles, decent cartoon, but what future? Hasbro pretty much said Trakker was a one shot deal for fans.

I'd love to see it come back, and I'd love to see it in the 3.75-4" Joe scale, even as offshoots to G.I. Joe and Cobra but I seriously doubt it's gonna happen in anything but customizers collections.

Shame really.

I forgot, i laos had Razorback, which apparently turned into a weird looking tank. but I loved the T-bird mode. So I'd keep him in car mode and just fold down the doors to expose the guns since the elevated wheel mode looked really strange to me.

Also I've been reading the descriptions for some of the toys over at http://www.albertpenello.com/mask/

They all go otu of their way to enphasize that the masks onyl Pretend to do the things they say they do. So little innocent kids would not think the masks actually did them.:

I really liked M.A.S.K., even though I only had Condor w/ Brad Turner (I think that's his name). I probably would've gotten into MASK more if Transformers weren't so cool. :mrgreen:

What I really liked was the TV show. i thought it was well written and, as far as cartoons go, it kept things pretty realistic. The Sci Fi factor wasn't way out there. If it ever got released on DVD here in the States, I'd be a happy camper. Unless, there is a way to play Region 2 (UK) DVDs, then I'd order the ones with the nice packaging from Madman.
