I was just looking at a review for the G1 Metroplex,
and throughout all these years I had no idea how
awesome this toy really was.

Someone mentioned they liked everything about him
except for his silver face...

I beg to differ,
when you checkout the "ancestors" of Metroplex...
yes, the Diaclone Robot Base, you can see how
Metroplex is a homage. Same silver face,
concept is the same.

Now... after the spawn of minicons I have become a
big fan of these easily collectible pocket friends.
So I would like a Metroplex that has several minicon
ports on it.

To my joy they remade Metroplex, or so I thought....
I can accept the weird staff, I can accept the
silly accent... I can accept that he is no longer a base...
I can accept that he has no where near
the features the G1 Metroplex had...
all because he is minicon compatible, AND comes with a
really cool looking minicon.
biggest problem, his face!!!!
yes, the silver face which was part of the history
that linked Transformers & Diaclone, Metroplex & Robot Base.

When you put G1 Metroplex and Cybertron Metroplex side by
side and look at the faces....
G1 looks a million times cooler. where as to the
Cybertron version... well doesn't look all that different
from some power ranger zord....

I never had the G1 Metroplex,
never been a fan of Optimus or Megatron,
now that I can buy myself a Metroplex... I see
that he is lacking,
I missed my chance with Unicron,
and Primus is a NOWAY.
so will I ever get a large minicon compatible Transformer?
I really hope they do something man,
please make another Metroplex
just change the freaking head please!

Yes, the silver face on Metro has always really apealed to me as well. Just get a G1 Metroplex. You can buy just the body for 15-20 on ebay or 70 complete.

By the way, anyone else think this was supposed to be a poem when first opening the post? :lol:

A new Metroplex would rule but it would never be as good as the one Anemis is building. If they even decide to do one it would most likely pop-up in the Titanium and unfortunately they aint big...

I don't like Meg's or OP either, more a Galvy Rody and maybe Jetfire fan. I like nutters and people who grow.

About metroplex, he was my first vintage TF, I love him. Cybs Metro was a disapointment to say the least.

A friend had Metroplex when I was a kid. I thought it was one dumb toy and was very disappointed. My g/f surprised me with Cybertron Metroplex last night and I thought the same thing but shhhh!!!!

Its tall but its other modes are pretty DUMB! I would rather take it back and get that $40 Cybertron Optimus Prime.

Agreed on the awesome part. I picked one up when I found it on clearence for $20 but discovered, upon opening it, that I would have gladly paid the $50.

G1 Metroplex has like a well.. here is a crazy example:
Denzel Washington face.

Cybertron Metroplex has a Bernie Mac face.

he has some positives, but the negatives imo outweigh
it by far. so that's why I turned my head towards
Metroplex... and did some research.... :sad:

she was just trying to be sweet,
it's the though that counts really,

but on the other hand she tried to buy
an expert something out of his own field.

it would be like me trying to buy a wine taster a wine.

just communicate with her man.
and she may want you to take it back and trade it in
for something you REALLY want. I'm sure she could
care less which Transformer robot it is.
afterwards, take her out to the olive garden or something

but anyways, I know this was a put down cybertron Metroplex
thread, but from what I "studied" he is better than
OP. It's really just his freakin head that's bothering me
and that's just me because I'm a Diaclone nut.
if it wasn't for that I WOULD get him.
