ZeroWolf wrote:This is only loosely based on IDW, so it is an 'AU' so I'm not sure what you mean about rewriting childhood. G1 toon is going to be what it has been. It'd quite clear that hasbro aren't touching that specific timeline again

We were told a long time ago that this would be the format. An online mini-cartoon of eight 5-7 minute episodes.Z3ROhour wrote:5 MINUTES!?
Whaa?

Do some users just seem to skirt the rules just enough to make you want to scream and maybe get yourself a warning in the process?
Never fear! Your friendly neighborhood User Control Panel has the answer you're looking for.
Just head over to the User Control Panel and choose the "Friends and Foes" tab.
Choose the "Foes" group.
Enter any ole name you like, hit submit, and trolling posts disappear just like that.

But I have to admit that a pretty low bar has been set since the original G1 went off the air.
Uhhh... have you even watched Beast Wars, Animated, and Prime?
Does Masterforce count as G1 cartoon to you?

Yes, which doesn't make much sense to me, since in IDW they come from the same place and have many of the same goals, and , I would think for lack of a better term, would be "friends"
Kurona wrote:Yeah, but this isn't really IDW.
Heck the first time they met in IDW they ended up fighting
ZeroWolf wrote:What was wrong with Animated? I really enjoyed that show, especially the later seasons. Did you find the aesthetic off putting?
Yeah, Animated had some of the best worldbuilding, character development, and strongest continuity adherence of any TF cartoon. Not to mention all the anniversary Easter eggs.ZeroWolf wrote:What was wrong with Animated? I really enjoyed that show, especially the later seasons. Did you find the aesthetic off putting?

Not sure if...aesthetic is the right word...but if you are referring to the look & feel of the show, yes it was very off putting. But I recognize many other fans loved it. Like I said, something for everyone, over a cycle of time. My time comes and goes, as does everyone else's.
Yeah, and I'd like to see Victorion stomp Windblade into the ground.Sabrblade wrote:Sooner or later we're going to get a confrontation between combiner-killer Windblade and combiner-savior Victorion, aren't we?
