Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
MGrotusque wrote:I'm not entirely in love with it in bot mode. Lots of panel lines and hing bits on top of the chest around the head.
The legs are absolutely fantastic.
Gun mode is spot on. Which is the mode i'd most likely keep it displayed in.
I hope this isn't the final colour/paint job. Flat grey or plain old grey plastic just doesn't cut it at that price point. It needs to be either chromed or metallic paint at the very least.
Emerje wrote:frogbat wrote:pricey as hell but i'll get it... TBH tho the accessories are always a nice touch, if they left them all out and the price was reduced i'd be happier as at the end of the day, most of those accessories end up in storage and aren't displayed...
That's how I feel about the MP Primes we've gotten since MP-01. I went years without one hoping they'd make one without a trailer to bring down the price since I have absolutely no use for a stand alone trailer (from any toy line if it doesn't combine with the figure). With or without the trailer the red truck is still complete Optimus Prime. Heck they even released Black Convoy without the trailer so the possibility was there.
However, I don't have the same feeling about Megatron. Those extra parts are what sets his gun mode apart from the other Walther P38s out there. I find the parts to be essential and completely displayable without taking up a lot of extra space.

It's probably something you're best finding out yourself. Your first priority should be to find out what laws there are relating to replica firearms. You may be fine, or, you may be like certain States in Australia that requires you to either have a firearm permit or ensure he's kept locked in a gun cabinet.
Once you've familiarised yourself with replica firearms laws, then you need to talk to customs. Depending on the laws you may need certain permits to get him into the country.
If there's an online retailer based in Switzerland that stocks Transformers, talk to them. I was fortunate enough to have Premium Collectables who will deal with all the customs paper work.

Cartoon accuracy taken too far.

Yeah, that's seriously one of the things making the third parties a superior choice now.

16100 Yen which is equivalent to $151 USD. You will have to take into account shipping too, which can be an extra $25 with SAL. Still, all in all $175 for MP Megs sounds on par with MPs recently, especially when considering the exchange rate.

Sigma Magnus wrote:I feel like this is the best MP-Megatron on the market right now, official or unofficial. It looks amazing, the accessories are really cool, he looks exactly like he did in the cartoon, and...it's perfect. In my opinion. If you don't like it because the legs are too skinny, or because he's not silver, that's fine...but don't criticize it for doing what it's supposed to. The entire point of this figure is to be CARTOON accurate...if you like your Megatrons bulkier, and silver, and with red on the inside of his legs, etc, that's fine. Go buy Despotron. But MP-36 is trying to be cartoon accurate, and I find it kinda odd how people are complaining about this figure for doing what it's supposed to be doing.
...anyway, who thinks an MP Galvatron is on the way in a year or two?

His alt mode HAS caused problems in the past.

ugh ... I can't even blame it on being early in the morning when I posted that. I have no idea why I did that! So you're just going to ignore the shipment of MP-05 Megatrons that were confiscated at Western Australia customs and subsequently destroyed?
And the MP-05 Megatrons that were seized at New South Wales customs and held until receivers completed the appropriate paper work?
Sorry WJ, but there is clearly a precedent set for people to be concerned about new Megatron.
