Movie Figs I have found so far...

Postby Deathknell » Tue May 29, 2007 11:30 pm

I've found a few Targets the last 3 weeks that have already put these figs out. This is what I've gotten so far...

I like them. The Automorph Gimmick is iffy. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I'm very impressed with the engineering and designs.

Those are really cool. I want to pick some up, but I have to wait till about mid-june. Have a trip to cover first. I saw the (leader class?) Prime at our Wal-Mart here in Newbern, but no other new figs. Are those the deluxes and how do they compare in size with the classics and alts?

The figs in the front are the Deluxes. I would say they run about the same scale as Classics. Ratchet is on par or a tiny bit bigger than Alts. Blackout is a Voyager class but seems the smalles of the voyagers. Still he's bigger than the Deluxe. I would say that Prime is as tall as the Classics Devestator, or about chest high on Primus. I should put up a pic of him and Primus next to eachother. I'm gonna go out and try to get an Ironhide and Screamers tomarrow. Still need Scorpi too.

Anyways I think you guys will like them. The Automorph Gimmick is tricky. Also be VERY careful with Blackout. The tabs on the side of his chest that fit into his shoulders to hold them in place fir VERY tight. BUT the plastic isn't terribly strong. I almost broke them off the first time I transformed him. I didn't force them or anything. Just the act of trying to seperate them forthe first time was almost enough to break them off.

All in all...VERY IMPRESSED :D

Yeah today was the release day. Have you checked Target? Was curious if they put the Robovision Prime out today too. I guess I'll go check this afternoon.

My target did, and I love him. I'm not even bothering with the Leader class, the voyager Robovision version looks better in bot mode and between the guns and everything is jsut a cooler figure in my opinion.

Yeah I can. Mine actually looks kinda poopy (wouldn't let me put the word I wanted to put.) Looks like they Drybrushed some black paint on left it at that. I think that, combined with the weak tab issues, are the only issues I have. He still looks pretty cool.

I'll try and get a pic up in a little bit.

Mine didn't have the Robovisions yet. Said they may get em next week.

ALSO...what is up with Scorpinok?! I've got two targets that have been selling the Deluxe figs for the past 3 weeks. Everytime I went in they had been picked over and there were NO Scorpinoks at all! I went today. Got there like an hour or so after they opened. The Deluxe figs again had been picked over and Scorpinok was GONE!! Is he just really limited in quantity? I'm having the same issue with him as I had with Classic Jetfire and Megs. Everytime I went the store was out of them. I'll just have to order him online I guess.

Kinda surprising that Scorpanok would be so desired that your already having a hard time finding him. But I know Swindle is somewhat shortpacked, so perhaps Scorpy is in the same numbers as him.

Well Swindle may be shortpacked BUT they got Swindles coming out the WAZOO. He isn't doin anything for me. Not really planning on getting him. I am interested in the rest of the VId Game figs though. The designs i've seen are pretty cool.

Can't find Swindle around here, of course I don't plan on getting him anyways, not a fan of him or the deluxe Dreadwing coming later.

Yeah don't like Dreadwing either. The only thing I might consider is doing a head swap on each of them. I have no idea what head I would use though. Dang I have tooooo many projects to do. I gotta get that HOS BB done first.

My wal-mart doesn't even have a space for the movie toys. And, it's an hour drive to anyplace that else that sells TFs.

The Greyryder is not happy.

I'm about 80% done with the custom mods on my classics Punch/Counter Punch myself. Always remember that when using an exacto knife your finger should stay out of the blades path. I managed to forget that rule tonight:(

But luckly all I need is to finish up the mods, do some clean up work then he should be ready for paint.

Ummm yeah...Wal-Mart sux. Sorry dude. where do you live? Sux you got an hours drive. Perhaps you should just order them online. I know it's not the same as huntin them down and having them in hand right away BUT...still would save ya the trip.

I finally did that with my Classics Jetfire and Megs. I never saw them in the store. None of the stores would hold one or even look in the back so I just went home and ordered them from TRUS and KB. I got them today in fact!

Sigh...I'm lucky I have an understanding Wife! My TF wall is overflowing but she's cool with it. I think she even ordered me a Scorpi and possibly megs for my birthday in a couple weeks. She was askin lots of questions about what I still need to get and I saw her ordering stuff from Target online. I can't buy anything till next month though.

Hey Greyrider,
Hasbro just sent me this code for their website:
TRNP627
It'll give you free shipping, and free car magnets with a purchase of $25 or more. It's not as good as the one that was posted a couple of weeks ago, but that one's expired, and this one will last till June 17th.
At least it can save you a long trip.

No. I'm not planning any more Greyryder KBs.

Pyro, thanks for that. I may just do that, if I can't get into a Target in the next day or so.

My Target had hardly any of the figures. I went there because I saw in today's paper that they had the Deluxes on sale for 7.99 and the Voyagers on sale for 17.99. (until June 9th) A quick stop to Wal-Mart and I found ALL of the figures at regular price. However, all you have to do is point out Target's price and Wal-Mart will match it. So I got all that I could afford. :)

I've just started to see the movie figs in Nottingham. Woolies had Protoform Prime, the Battle Rig Blaster, voice changer, and Cyber-Stompin' Prime and Bumblebee. I've also seen the protoform Prime and Screamer in Forbidden Planet. I haven't bothered to see what's in Argos since I don't have the money to buy 'em anyway...
