Rodimus Prime wrote:I just saw The Martian. Highly recommend it. Very good story about perseverance and using survival skills.

It was similar to Cast Away, with some exceptions, obviously (lots of 70s disco music). When I got home, I decided to watch Interstellar, and it was weird to see Matt Damon play a bad guy in that movie after seeing The Martian.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I just saw The Martian. I wondered if it would be any good, I only watched the trailer once and that was in the theatre.
Is it anything like the movie? Because the movie was very boring.I think I might give up on the Limitless TV series, two weeks in and it's not really done anything to grab my attention.

Exactly that. A pile of crap. A 3 hour long borefest. I was really hoping for some interesting space travel ideas, and the whole environmental demise would have been easier to get through. And ghosts? Really? I did give it a shot because of Matthew McConaughey, but he's been more miss than hit lately.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:When I got home, I decided to watch Interstellar, and it was weird to see Matt Damon play a bad guy in that movie after seeing The Martian.
What did you think of that pile of crap?
Yeah, it was a mess. I mean, maybe boring is not the right word. It was a convoluted mess, made me keep asking myself "what the hell is happening now?" And it was all dialogue. All the action you saw was in the trailers. Is it anything like the movie? Because the movie was very boring.
I haven't watched it, but given you and I tend to agree on movies a lot, I think I'll pass now.

Looks interesting, actually. I do have a feeling that there won't be nearly as much action as the preview leads on.Stuartmaximus wrote:

Burn wrote:Well there's talk of more Men in Black movies (calling it a "reboot") and a MacGuyver TV series.
So don't expect original ideas any time soon.

You wouldn't want to watch scenes like this again:
or this:
You're funny.

I find that doubtful. He is a typical Hollywood liberal.
These I cannot recommend strongly enough, especially Breaking Bad.It Is Him wrote:I'd rather watch a few other TV shows I haven't seen instead. Here's a few on my to do list.
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
The last few seasons of Archer.
Is that a generalization, or are you referring to The Original Series?Star Trek
I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard good things.Narcos
I also seem to be suffering from this affliction. All the other crap in my Netflix queue That I don't remember adding

I've seen TOS, some of TNG and all of Voyager. I heard DS9 and Enterprise are turds. I barely made it through Voyager, even with Jeri Ryan to look at, so I doubt I could watch DS9 or Enterprise all the way through. It Is Him wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Is that a generalization, or are you referring to The Original Series? It Is Him wrote:Star Trek
The original series for starters, and maybe the others if I can work my way through them.
