yea i was pretty disappointed by the departed too. it was a remake of one my favorite Hong Kong films (and i don't watch too many chinese films T_T) and i thought it fell way short of the original.

This could take awhile...
I outright refuse to watch Titanic. My mom and sister tried to force me to watch it because 'then I'd love it'... I walked out of the house without a goodbye.

The 1-3 Starwars films. Now I'll admit that I was one of the fools that sat outside waiting to buy the damned tickets - talk about time I'll never get back.

Resident Evil - EVERYONE raved about this stupid movie and I was so ramped up to see it and it fell beyond flat. Sucked.

Godzilla in 98 - blew chunks. It sullies the name of Godzilla.
I was not impressed by Cloverfield either. FTW running back with the monster that chewed up your buddy just to get the freaking video camera?

Every freaking Disney movie ever made! freaking singing princesses are like nails on a chalk board. But 101 Dalmatians- puppies, Glen Close, and Hugh Laurie, you can't go wrong there.

Ace Ventura - We went to see it at the $1 theater.. and left 10 minutes into the film.

Top Gun - I was a preteen when this piece of garbage came out and everyone was fawning over Tom Cruise. I thought he was creepy and I was right!

How about actors/actresses that you can't stand?
Will Ferrell - annoying
Jim Carrey - annoying
Tom Cruise - freakish
Chuck Norris - not that annoying, but still
Steven Segal - went and saw Under Siege with my husband on our first date, spent the rest of the evening bashing the film.

I know there are a bunch of female actresses that I can't stand, but I'm too lazy to think of who they are off the top of my head.

Weapon: Electro-Sword
2001-A Space Odyssey, It has great production designs, special effects and some really great classically music but what it doesn't have is a great story. I really hate those screaming monotheis at the start of the movie, because every time I've seen the movie I get a headache from those damn things.

Blade Runner; The Director's Cut-This is usually the kind of movie that I like but I found it dull, lifeless, and just plain boring. Ford looks like a cross between a sleepwalker and a zombie and his
performance reflects this (and spare me "he's a robot" line, it's not that it's a bad performance) the rest of the cast (except for Rutger Hauer he gives the only real good performance in the film) gets lost in the background and very predictable ending. I mean anyone with a brain could see that Decker is a robot five minutes after Ford makes his first appearance!

Like 2001, Blade Runner has great special effects, production
design, even a good cast and good director who are all stuck with a
bad script, that Scott tries to cover up with the special effects and production design. Honestly I don't get why people love this movie so much.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion. That's what this thread is about. Sooner or later something someone really likes is going to get completely trashed on.

I'm just saying, the Bond movies are all so different. Yeah, it's the same formula, but it's the longest running film series besides Tarzan, and that series didn't have a new entry every few years. Bond runs the full spectrum in quality. 40 years worth of different styles and trends. It's watching film evolve through history. Some are really, really bad, and some are downright awesome.

Case in point: Most people who like the series will agree that Moonraker is awful. The ending is just plain lame, and is made lamer by the fact that they had an actual NASA consultant on the film, and they thought they were making it realistic.

What people don't remember about that film is that it has by far the most impressive opening sequence of any movie. An f'ing skydive chase scene, and they really did it. That was all real, no special effects at all. It took 80 jumps, by the same stunt men, to get every shot. All real.

I can understand if the tongue in cheek nature of it all is not your bag. I personally think it's hilarious when he goes underwater, passes the camera underwater, and adjusts his tie. But that's me.

I just think you're being way too harsh. It's not all Q gadgets and silly villains with metal teeth.

Rudy(please don't flame me!), Remember the titans(is it a comedy, a sports movie, or a race drama?), Aladdin(I had to see it 4 times in 1 week, that gives me a right to hate it.).

Also, how about video games?

For me, it's the zelda series. I've never been a big fan.

Actually, Wong Fei Hung is the longest series. Also, if you consider them all one series, Gozilla had 30 movies. And the Charlie Chan series of movies had 47. Tarzan had 33.

I really dont think I've ever saw one that I liked enough to own.

Well I know I'm not alone in this, but the Transformers movie, both of them.

I can only watch the animated one once a year, and even then with all the problems the movie had, that we all know, I get tired of it half-way through.

The 2007 movie, once the "OMG GIANT ROBOTS OF MY CHILDHOOD" factor died down. The movie was really bland from all standpoints, and could have been worlds better, kinda like the Super Mario Brothers movie, only Transformers will never hold a special place in my heart like SMB does.

As for Rain Man, Dustin Hoffman made that film as great as it was, you could replace Tom Cruise with any other actor and not have noticed a difference in the quality of the film.

While not a movie, I despise the new BSG. It's just a prime-time soap opera in space. "Next time on BSG: (Name) is having (Name's) baby, but (name) doesn't realize that (name) and (name) are alcoholic cylons....with fracking cancer!"

The sooner that show finishes its final season the better.

King Kong is another I can't really watch, Peter Jackson really should have cut out an hour of that film and it would have been a lot better. The fight with the T-rex's lasted annoyingly too long.

Actually, Wong Fei Hung is the longest series. Also, if you consider them all one series, Gozilla had 30 movies. And the Charlie Chan series of movies had 47. Tarzan had 33.
