I came to notice one thing about a very official law for the scale in the 1980's cartoon. ALL TF from this universe SHRINK dramatically when they go to robot mode. In vehicle or alt mode, they go to their normal size.
The master of this technique is Astrotrain. In robot mode, he's the same size as everybody else. But even is train mode, he's big enough so there's plenty of room for everyone to climb on board. EVEN DEVASTATOR WAS ABLE TO BE STANDING UP INSIDE!!! (See the 1986 movie. On a side note, lol @ Jazz's evil twin getting killed)
