:-)

On another note, I'm curious to hear what everyone is doing for their fantasy picks. I'm listing Michael Turner and DeAngelo Williams as my first two choices...any disagreement? I'd also love to hear what order of position people pick in...obviously kickers go last, but beyond that I'm curious.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

I'm probably taking Adrian Peterson (MIN) and DeAngelo Williams or Chris Johnson (TEN). My first WR pick will be Roddy White (ATL) because I got him 2 years ago in week 3 and he ended up being the highest scorer on my team! QB, I'm not sure. I think he wasn't on the lists, but maybe Old Man Favre might still be a worthy pick. Depending on his shoulder. Otherwise, it's Philip Rivers or Peyton Manning. I will NEVER pick Tom Brady on principle. F**k Boston and everyone who's a Pats or Ratcox fan. If those guys are gone, it's Old Man Collins. Gotta stick with my Titans.

Well Broncos went 1-3 in the preseason. Not really impressed with anything, I'm scared this team will finish dead last.

You never know. That division isn't very strong. 2 years ago they almost got in with an 8-8 record. Except they got screwed against the Chargers. And I do like Orton better than Jay Cutler.

OK. The season begins this week. Your predictions?

Mine:

AFC East: Miami Dolphins 12-4
AFC West: San Diego Chargers 12-4
AFC North: Baltimore Ravens 11-5
AFC South: Tennessee Titans 16-0

AFC Wild Card: Denver Broncos 11-5
AFC Wild Card: Indianapolis Colts 12-4

NFC South: Carolina Panthers 12-4
NFC North: Minnesota Vikings 12-4
NFC East: Dallas Cowboys 11-5
NFC West: Arizona Cardinals 11-5

NFC Wild Card: New York Giants 11-5 (Dallas wins season series)
NFC Wild Card: Atlanta Falcons 11-5

Actually it was last year and the chargers didnt screw the broncos. the chargers fought their way out of the cellar and the broncos had one of the biggest late season collapse's in nfl history. The chargers got screwed earlier in the year, thats why they have the Ed Hocculi rule now, because of the fumble that wasnt a fumble according to the rule at the time.

Most ppl are predicting the raiders to do better than denver this year.

Ed Hocculi? I love that guy.

Raiders actually look freaking scary this year and might actually win something... And this is a Denver fan that's saying this.

OK, something like that. I can't stand the Chargers and I'm not much of a Broncos fan. Hated them until that horseface Elway retired. But Gunz Hocculi did screw that up, though. I think he screwed up another call the very next week in another game. The Raiders will go some where if their defense is good and Darren McFadden can run. Because JaMarcus Russell is as worthless as Vince Young.

Man, something ate my last post! I put up my predictions for this week's games and it disappeared. I didn't get a moderator notice or anything...it's just gone...guess I'll have to type it up again...

My predictions for week 1:
Pittsburgh over Tennessee
Atlanta over Miami
Baltimore over KC
Carolina over Philly
Cincinnati over Denver
Minnesota over Cleveland
Houston over NYJ
Indianapolis over Jacksonville
New Orleans over Detroit
Dallas over Tampa
Arizona over SF
Washington over NYG
Seattle over St. Louis
Chicago over Green Bay
New England over Buffalo
San Diego over Oakland

Hopefully this post won't disappear too..:-(
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

OK, here we go. Tonight's the opening night! And it will start out with a donnybrook! Titans vs. Squealers. Should be very physical and low-scoring. It will be in Pittsburgh, so they might actualy pull it off. GO TITANS!!!

Troy Polamalu is already out with a knee injury. It didn't look pretty. Hope it's not serious...my wife's fantasy league D is centered around him...

Screw him. I never liked him. I hope someone rips his damn hair out this season.

The game was damn good, and even though I am a Titans fan, I admit, the better team won. The Titans cornerbacks let Rottenhurler beat them with those short passes that keep getting first downs. And Bironas missed that first field goal.

I agree..that was a fantastic game. Rough, hard hitting, pretty sound football (except for Hines Ward's gaffe at the end of the game, of course). Nice way to start the season...let's hope the rest of the season is half as exciting...

...BTW am I the only one who noticed how much alike Polamalu and Weird Al Yankovic look? :-P

I forgot Cleveland still had an NFL team...heh heh...

I actually don't expect Favre to be touched. One of Minnesota's biggest strengths is that offensive line. In addition they have to play the run on every play...A.P. can make a defense look real bad real quick. My guess is they will put on spy on Favre, but not blitz to often for fear of having too many guys on the offensive side of the ball while Peterson is running the other direction.

Well, I get to go see the Bucs get beat by Dallas this weekend, and in the Club section to boot (which is really the only reason I would go at this point). Not really looking forward to this Bucs season but I hope it is a good game this weekend.

That's why I wear Depends during the football season. I highly recommend them... :P

That being said, that play was by far the best one of the day. Props to Stokely for keeping his eye on the ball and his mind in the play.

On the good side, I started Adrian Peterson AND Drew Brees on my fantasy team today. Think I'm doing pretty well? heh heh

It was a remarkable performance wasn't it? 6 TD's in one game...the opening weekend. I don't know if it was just Detroit's defense but the Saints looked very impressive. We'll see how it is next week against the Eagles...

...nice segue...I wonder how McNabb's ribs are going to be? ANyone think he'll play?
