seriously, these douchebag scalpers make me sick. they ruin it for true fans and collectors. that's why i stopped collecting sports cards a few years back because it all of a sudden became all about the money instead of the joy of collecting. the funny thing is that the shelves will probably be filled in a few months with all these hard to find figures that everyone is searching for now but i guess as long as retards out there keep paying $50 for $10 toys these losers will never stop.

Went to TRU and there was a big line in front. Some employees stood by the door laughing at us for a minute before they opened up. I was second in..... but the guy in front of me got to them first and picked them all up. 08 BB, Arcee etc.

What's even worse is, with racing or not, you still can't beat people to it. It's ridiculous.

yea, scalpers mess things, like i said before, at the TRU i went to there were families with kids, and even some adult collectors, and when they opened the doors at first everyone was walking, but this one guy with a back pack took off and everyone else just had to run.

So just because they say "We have 30 on the floor" does not mean they'll have Bumblebee. When in fact, it's most likely 30 of Preview figures, as has been the case with four different TRUs I've been to.

You might get lucky though, so don't give up hope.

By the time I got to my local Toys R Us this morning, the Transformers was stripped of ALL deluxes. All that was left were Voyager Megatrons. Lots and lots of Voyager Megatron. Most of them were probably picked up by Frank and Sons booth owners (a.k.a. scalpers).

Thanks for the tip. So it is just like the DCPI #'s for Target. I called my local TRU this morning and the girl said the computer said they had deluxes in stock but she could not find bumblebee.

i found the only 08 Bumblebee at 8:30 Saturday morning at Kohl's. TRU told me Wednesday and Saturday mornings at open are the best times to try.

I stopped by Kohl's yesterday and they had more Deluxes than any other store in town. Unfortunately, they were all Jazz, Barricade, and protoforms.

The Wal-Mart by Sam's Club on Laclede Station (or is it Hanley Road?) in STL (south of University City, I think it's actually in the county) was restocking this afternoon when I stopped in, but did not have any Transformers out and I didn't want to bother them; I'll stop by there again tomorrow on my way out of town.

Sigh... called Target and lady went back to ask someone in toys. She said that "he said ther got a few in." I suspected the woman had no idea what she was talking about or didn't remember that I specifically said "Transformers movie Deluxe figures. But I figured I'd bite any glimmer of hope.

I get there and they got nothin but 2 protoforms. A lady there says they might have some in the back but she'd have no way of knowing if the figure I'm looking for. "They could all be like this" she says while indicating a protoform. I tell her these things come in boxes of Waves. The one I'm looking for should say Wave 4. She says that's not how they get them. I'm fairly certain she has no idea what she's talking about. She uses her little scanner thing in an attempt to reassure me, but she scans a robot replica peg (I really don't have the heart or patients to bother correcting her) and says they have none in the back. She does assume me that they should be getting some in eventually as they've just reset for their Christmas toys.

I also strike out at Wal-Mart, they were filling the oy section but had no boxes marked deluxe Transformers, some real gear stuff though.

So I made a trip for nothing and missed the end of a Tigerhawk auction I'd been watching (coulda gotten him for cheap too). Over all a crapadelic evening.

Targets are in Parkersburg, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, and Morgantown (in the northern section) if you're near any of those, my girlfriend works at the Clarksburg/Bridgeport Target. If she finds anything new (and she's on the lookout for me, constantly) I'll drop you a PM.

I'm actually in the Wheeling area so that's a little out of my range. I've got a couple friends that work at the Local Target. Though one I doubt will remember to call me if he sees any, and the other doesn't work in the toy section and most likely thinks my transformers collecting is silly.
