How come the Allspark created TFs were all Decepticons?
Prime intended to use the Allspark to repower Cybertron as it was intended. Megatron wants to abuse it by creating Transformers directly, which makes souless, primal Transformers.
Repugnus wrote:Back at Botcon, the writers said at one of their panels that the reason the cube made evil TF's was because all of Earth's technology was reverse engineered from Megatron, and thus any TF's created from it would be evil, like Megs.
Skowl wrote:I like the idea that it was because the "new-born" Transformers would be confused, uneducated, unprogrammed "basic" robots that are what we could imagine to be the equivalent of a bunch of lost toddlers throwing a huge collective temper tantrum.Repugnus wrote:Back at Botcon, the writers said at one of their panels that the reason the cube made evil TF's was because all of Earth's technology was reverse engineered from Megatron, and thus any TF's created from it would be evil, like Megs.
This theory is also really clever, and I never thought about it until now. It even makes more sense than the other one.
As for Orci changing his answer, he didn't really change it per se, he just stated what was stated in the movie, he doesn't really answer the question, he just tells us something we already knew.
I am not a big fan of the whole idea in the first place. Why does the All-Spark have to be so magical and create living robots out of this air?

Not that much different than what we walk around believing. Some omnipotent being just made us. Look nothing here *POOF* human civilization? We dont have much of a back story. We also have Big Bang Theory. Pick the one that suits you best.Lord_Megatron wrote:I am not a big fan of the whole idea in the first place. I could see it if the Transformers constructed others like themsleves and the All-Spark was tapped for its life-giving spark, but just having a stupid cell phone explode into an instant Transformer is just lame to me. You would think they could have been more creative with the back story than just have a cube instantly and magically creating the most complex evolved alien species.

So on Cybertron, they used the Allspark in conjuntion with Vector sigma and the "Well of Sparks" to add a spark to the robotic body before infusing it with Allspark energy that brings it life, that way you have a "sentient" Bot and not a violent mindless Bot..

Yeah sorta like the whole Oracle reformating in Beast Wars or the Matrix magically making transformers bigger.
Repugnus wrote:Rather than bury this away at the bottom of one of the many threads that get started on what seems like an hourly basis asking why the allspark cube created only evil transformers in the new movie, I figured I might as well start a new thread for this.
Back at Botcon, the writers said at one of their panels that the reason the cube made evil TF's was because all of Earth's technology was reverse engineered from Megatron, and thus any TF's created from it would be evil, like Megs. However, in an interview posted over at tfw2005, it looks like Roberto Orci has changed his answer. Here's a quote:How come the Allspark created TFs were all Decepticons?
Prime intended to use the Allspark to repower Cybertron as it was intended. Megatron wants to abuse it by creating Transformers directly, which makes souless, primal Transformers.
So maybe that's the official answer now. Or maybe there isn't one. Or maybe the sequel(s) will explain it officially. Or maybe it's just a goof up and I'm gonna give up trying to figure it out.
Regardless, maybe this might at least curb the stream of new threads asking this question.

If so, great job. If not, then I'll pretend it is so and still say good job to you.
btw...how long did it take to undo the spider-bot virus that frenzy planted? long enough for the cover up at mission city?

Mr. orci,
First I would like to say thank you for your superb work on the Transformers Live action movie, it takes alot to convert a once cartoon show into a mainstream live action extravaganza! Kudos to you and your associate!![]()
I enjoyed the movie greatly..![]()
Is this hypothesis what you guys intended or is there another explanation that fits, this was an earlier post and purely an assumption...?
"the Allspark can instill life, yes, but what i gather from What Orci said was that the Allspark will give life, though souless..which is like giving life to a dead body, I.E. Vampires, but not a Soul like in Humans.. that is why the cell phone and drink machines and such are evil from the get go, they are souless, or sparkless..."
"So on Cybertron, they used the Allspark in conjuntion with Vector sigma and the "Well of Sparks" to add a spark to the robotic body before infusing it with Allspark energy that brings it life, that way you have a "sentient" Bot and not a violent mindless Bot.."
Will the Matrix appear in a sequel?
Roberto Orci wrote:We actually gave both answers at Botcon.
