Plot point in Dream Wave continuity regarding Megatron and Starscream

Discuss anything about the Transformers cartoons and comics! You can discuss anything from G1 to Cybertron as well as the comics from Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW and more!

IF IDW ever decide to finish off the DW storyline they could just pull a BB of 2006 and put it all down to a story being told by Sunstorm, just one of those storylines its doubtfull we will ever see finished like the 3H comics as well.

Personally i thought the pit in the earth was going to connect to the pit in reaching the omega point and shockaract

I'm not too fussed what it was now, any form of closure would be nice, the overlord idea is interesting if not a little difficult to try to imagine how it would play out :-?

Yeah, but we are seeing the finish to the Wreckers. Perhaps, things are not as impossible as they seem.

Issue #0 of former ongoing:

Ok, I'm assuming it's the government, but in issue #7 we see on a screen that Scourge is under repair when the Autobots are going through E.D.C.'s place, and Marrissa reported to Buster Witwicky in issue #10, who was in a military uniform. Which also reminded me of another plot point(I was thumbing through the issue yesterday), on Buster's computer screen there was a picture of a transformable exoskeleton like some of the European Action Masters had. Easter Egg, or undisclosed plot point?

That's Superion's head in the bottom panel. You can see the gold horn on the side of the head, and Devastor's head is laying in a different position in the panel above it.

And after looking at it again, I think it's a cross between the G1 Exosuit and the Action-Master Exosuit:

The exo-suit is pretty generic looking, without more detail, who knows?

The head at the bottom shares similarities with Superion--red visor-, but I thought he had a mouth shield? Silverbolt to my knowledge did not have a red visor, but blue eyes.

I'm sure it's mean to be one of them.

What's going on in the first two panels of that page? Both robots look like Scourge but they've got different head designs.

Another point I don't think they ever concluded(but I never read War Within Dark Ages), Scourge(or the Sweeps, basicly they are about the same) were some kind of herald for Unicron, and there were at least two of them, one that rescured Shockwave on Cybertron, and one that attacked Jetfire when he was on his way to Earth. But I think it's just one Scourge, seen from different angles, but there do appear to be some inconsistencies with the head design now that I look at it. At any rate, they're examining/reparing Scourge, and probably removed his helmet, so that's why the face looks different.

And Superion was drawn closer to his toy counterpart than his animation model in the first Dreamwave mini-series, except he had red eyes.

Image

And the gold horn on the side of the head, which can barely be seen(even in the issue, but sorry for the kinda lousy scan around the edges, I didn't want to bend the comic) is another dead givaway that it is indeed Superion.

Your thinkinmg of Toon and Marvel G1.....Dreamwave
went with the look of the toy with all the Aerilbots
had yellow eyes and Superion had a yellow visor and no
mouth shield.

As you can see, DW's artists allowed several inconsistencies in the animation

Blues eyes and mouth from #3
http://waubonsee.facebook.com/photo.php ... =220400627

Red eyes and mouth from #6
http://waubonsee.facebook.com/photo.php ... =220400627

P.S. I apparently can't load images to save my ass, help would be appreciated :-(

I did not think they were allowed to use the japanese bots yet, that it could have been in the future plans though, so I suppose it could have been him there.

Well, there were plans to include Magmatron in the then upcoming Beast Wars stuff, as I recall, and now IDW have used him and Lio Convoy, among others. I'm also pretty sure I saw Overlord in Megatron: Origin (can't remember which issue, but he's in the foreground next to Slugslinger in a crowd scene)...
