Popular Mechanics has posted an article about NBC's new 2008 show Knight Rider. However even though we may get the "Hoff" again on thing you won't see is a Trans Am as KITT. Now we get suped up 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR, that looks an awful lot like Barricade from the 2007 Transformers movie :-?

I guess they would seem similar because they are both Supercharged Mustangs?

I suspect because Chevy made the deal with Transformers, they had to do something different. I think they should have used the GT-R:

I read that it shapeshifts and changes colors...which is pretty cool. Only thing that could improve the new KITT (I love the car, by the way) is if it could turn into a robot.

Well, considering, I think the new KITT is sure as heck awesome, but I think a ponitiac would've proved better. I did see a fan pic of KITT as a Solstice. But, then you'd say it ripped off Jazz.
But it's a Mustang, so I don't care. :grin:

Well, technically a Shelby, but, whatever.

Personally, this seems ,ore evil, I think it fits KARR much more.

I wouldn't say its a rip off of Barricade because Saleen Mustangs were available prior to the release of the TF movie. Its just that nobody had Black rims on them :wink:

Will Arnett (Arrested Development, The Brothers Solomon, etc)

William Daniels (original K.I.T.T., Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World) won't be reprising his role as K.I.T.T.

The point I was trying to get across was that I find it funny that NBC would use a car that looks so similar one in the 3rd top grossing movie of '07.

I agree a Pontiac would look better. I personaly would have liked to see it as one of the newer Trans Am's so as a nod to the original. Transformers showed theres lots of ways to play around with the Solstice platform, while give it its own unique look.
