Your pictures show nothing... Did you aquire them legally? If so, how! I would love to get some stills from the movie.

Not that I particularly care one way or another with the Starscream debate, I still find it to be fun speculation.

Whereas 'grasping at straws' might be absurd to some, I find including a scene of Starscream blending in with a formation of f22's (of which they did make a pretty big deal over) immediately preceeding the scene of Megatron's demise, a bit hard to ignore. It leads me to wonder why Starscream would take the effort to hide among the humans, instead of just killing all of them.

I suppose Starscream could have snuck in with the other jets just for a randomly cool scene, but if you look at it in the film's context, and where it was located right before the movie's climax, I don't see why this sort of speculation -which, at this point, is all that it is- is unfounded. Even if Starscream didn't fire upon Megatron, he didn't seem entirely concerned with helping him, either.

Could just be bad editing, too. :-P If they put this scene way earlier into the last chapter, I think this would be a non-issue.

While we're talking about this, they also didn't make the return of Bumblebee's voice very understandable. Some speculated it was the Allspark, but then Orci stated it was Rachet's "healing laser" that eventually fixed him up (did ANYONE actually come to this conclusion on their own while watching the film?), and he admitted that could have been made clearer. Relating that to the Starscream scenario, it's obvious there are a few scenes neeeding clarification. But, anything that might pertain to TF2's possible plot, Orci's been very ambiguous in replying to.

Could not agree with you more Skowl.

Nothing in the film has made me think for even a second, that the writers put all that much thought and effort into this movie at all. Any effort and thought they did put into the film would have probably been thrown away with all the changes that Bay made on a whim/had to for time/budget reasons.

Phenotype wrote:ALSO, seems most of you have forgotten this somehow but when they show the F-22's converging on the city they distinctly show 3 seperate groups of jets. Starscream attacked ONE of those groups, so the group that fired on Megatron was most likely one of the other groups.

right, and if you watch again you will see that when starscream flies off with the one group there are a few jets with him...those jets shoot at megatron....a few seconds later the 2nd group flies over...but there are only 2 jets in that group left....meaning starscream was with the group that shot megs

As cool as it might seem to have Starscream backstabbing Megs and attacking him it's just not likely. It would have been more clear in the film, do you honestly think they'd put something in there that 99% of people are going to miss? C'mon guys, the movie kicked ass but pretty much everything was spelled out for us in the movie.

bumblebee's voice comming back was all speculation as well until murphy or orci or whoever it was cleared it up....barricades whereabouts are still speculation as well...i bet he comes back though...

just because it wasnt clear doesnt mean it wasnt intentional....

No matter if they meant to include it or not, they'd be fools not to take advantage of it now that its all everyone is talking about...

There's really two ways about this...

It happened. Maybe it wasn't obvious, but considering SS just disappeared and was shown at the end going into space...it makes perfect sense.

It didn't happen. Why? Because why bother to take ANY of the F-22's down??? If he wanted MEgs outa the picture then he should have stayed in formation with the others and took the shot.

there was no way for him to know that the megatron prime scenario was going no, it looks like to me he did it on the fly...as he was fighting the raptors he noticed a chance for him to make a move so stopped the attack and persued megs..

True, but he did know the Raptors were headed to the city to help the situation. He could have just stayed back and never did anything to help if treachery was his motive from the beginning. However had the Cons had won the battle Megs would have been hot to get his hands on him from never joining in.

As I said before, until someone official denies this I'm saying he DID fire on Megs.

I've watched the footage in slo mo, the missile is not blue, its standard color and from the preceeding shot there is no way to know if it is starscream or not, its a jet.

Starscream hates Megatron, but he'd still want troops. Therefore, he wouldn't be so keen on what could be his army to be destroyed before he has a chance to lead.
