So for those who don't yet have them, or haven't been able to find them, the preview protoform Prime and Starscream should be out at mass retail today.
Just wanted to remind everyone since I didn't see a topic on it.

Yeah I already picked them up. I wonder how long it'll be until someone tries to re-paint them in G1 colors.

Optimus at least could look cool like that. Although it'll basically make him look like a Rock Lords version of Cybertron Optimus.

I do like the Japanese protoform of Starscream much more, wondering if i'll bother getting the stateside release.

I didn't find them anywhere. I looked at two WMs, one Target, and one TRU (basically, all I have in town) and nothing.

Though at Target and TRU, it was around 11 AM, so they might not have stocked them yet.

I want Optimus so I'll go have a look around tomorrow.

I found them both at K-mart last Friday. I like them more than I thought that I would. Actually, I think Optimus is very cool, his poseability is awesome. Starscream tends to fall apart between his torso and pelvis. They do look very strange posed next to regular TF's though.

I found them today at a Walmart but when I got up to the reg they scanned as "Do not Sell" and the cashier would not give them to me. Anyone know what was up with that?

You two aren't the first to mention this problem today. On TFans, they also had problems getting one. Someone wondered if they might've been recalled or something.

If that is the case, then getting the main line will be one hell of a problem, and I'm going to be super pissed.

However, I think it's more likely that they didn't have room for them on the shelves.

...though, that "Do Not Sell" shouldn't be on there. It wasn't on there before, nationwide. Otherwise none of us would've been able to buy 'em last week.

Hmm....now I'm a little worried.

Got my movie preview toys finally, at the TRU I started at. They're a lot bigger than I thought they'd be, and neater too.

One of the employees at the local TRU that I bought them at was all "OMG, these aren't supposed to be out!" even though there was like twelve pegs full of them, all with MOVIE PREVIEW clearly written on the package. I tried explaining that these were fine to be out, since I'd like to at least think I was a somewhat knowledgeable collector, but she wouldn't have any of it. At least she let me buy my two, but she'll be getting an earful from her manager later since she took down the whole display and these are totally fine to be out.

While I appreciate some independent thought from toy store employees, at least do a bit of research, yeah?

ill try to get screamer once i get some more $$. do they still have the free posters at walmart?

I sure hope I am as well.

I saw them at KMart, and decided to wait until they hit target and save $1. I'll probably get Prime.

Both of these figures are surprisingly cool. Prime is more of an asteroid looking protoform whereas Starscream looks much more mechanical, in the entry mode....mode. Prime's kind of a boulder with windows and Starscream is more enrty craft looking. I am glad they made such a distinction between the two so that they weren't just two of basically the same figure.

I bought em both/ like em quite a bit, maybe Prime more than Starscream. They make me crazy for the full line to hit.

I know of some Kmarts that have had them on the shelves for weeks and I have yet to pick them up.

So, if they are just out now, that means they will probably show up in Michigan about......mid June.
