In the Transformers UK comic #283 called "Maneuvers" Blitzwing and Astrotrain are supposed to give Octane cover since he stupidly drove into a military firing range while transporting 10,000 gallons of fuel.

However in the Transformers US Comic "The Underbase Saga (Part 4) Dark Star", Starscream basically annihilates everyone including blitzwing.

I know that the UK comics and US comics are pretty much different storylines but I'm writing a fan fiction and I was going to include blitzwing but I don't want to if he's dead...

I also noticed that even though soundwave is destroyed in the same comic, he repairs himself and is in another comic later. So my question is Blitzwing Dead or Alive?

eeek. i can't give a definitive answer, for that i'd need to check my Ultimate Guide :SMUG:

but i don't see any problem with you using him as there's plenty of ways he could be alive.

If you mean the Ultimate guide by Simon Furman, Blitzwing is mentioned twice in the book. One time only saying he was a triple changer (Octane got the Bio in the book) along with Astrotrain. The other part is just his picture and name.

The story I'm writing will be titled "Transformers Firefly". I'll let you know more about it when I get the first chapter planned out. =)

The Black & White stories in the UK take place after "Underbase" (how LONG after depends on which theory you subscribe to...I'll hold off listing them all here unless you really want!)
So, basically, Blitzwing got repaired "off panel". Along with loads of others. No continuity glitch.

And what's all this about the US and UK being different storylines!?! :shock:

Outrageous! It's one, big happy, decade-long Marvel continuity I tells ya! I'll happily paper over any cracks... (just about!)

Don't mock the almighty guide! Nothing in Transformers counts anymore unless it's in the guide!
