You are mistaken. The t-Virus only MIGHT turn you into a Tyrant, only one out of ten million exposed to it will turn into one, but 10% of the people exposed will have no reaction at all, not even turning into a Zombie.

Also, Alice was given an altered version of the t-Virus, probably something closer to what Wesker injected himself with. And Wesker, as you may know, spent most of RE5 as a cross between the Terminator and Neo from The Matrix. He wasn't a tentacle monster at all. Well, at least not until he decided to inject himself with Uroboros.

I like the Resident Evil movies, but they are getting so far from the source material that they should stop using the name. That looks more like Ultra Violet than Resident Evil.

Just because they're not following the story and one character has abilities no one in the games has, doesn't mean it should stop using the name. Even then, the only real difference in the story is that the movies had a real Zombie Apocalypse. Also, with the exception of whatever that thing Isaacs turned into was (Looked like a cross between a Tyrant and a G-Creature) to the best of my knowledge they haven't used any enemies in the movies that didn't also appear in the games.

I feel though that Wesker should have been the supermutant in this movie. Not her. He was a double agent, later wanted to become a god, and he made Uroboros, so he would have been a plenty interesting guy. Plus he wears sunglasses over freaky eyes. What could be better then that?
Instead we have a girl who looks and acts like every other superpowered girl. Revealing clothes and cold attitude. Blech.

Um...Wesker IS in the movie. He's going to be the main antagonist. The trailer showed him with red glowing eyes. Didn't you see that? In fact one scene shows him throwing his sunglasses at the heroes, a shot taken DIRECTLY from RE5.

hmm.. not sure how to take it just now... I had to watch Res3 twice to understand a few bits because i lost my concentration when watching it at certain points (hey my dinner was ready at the time lol)

to be honest it might be fun... or i might just wait to get it straight to dvd/blu ray when it hits, after all i have to get through Iron Man 2, Centurion and Prince of Persia first.
