Now, this isn't a thread calling someone out, since I have nothing particularly insulting to say. But, quite frankly, Bob and Alex lied to us.

With the reviews of the Aussie premiere popping up, their dishonesty is blatantly clear. They lied to the fandom to keep us happy until the movie came out.

Bob, Alex, why? Why did you lie to us? Maybe if you were truthful from the start maybe you wouldn't look so bad. I wouldn't have cared if you said the Decepticons wouldn't speak from the beginning. I wouldn't have cared if you said Starscream had one line in the film from the beginning. I wouldn't have cared if you said the leaked script was final from the beginning. But you lied to us.

You released that bloody press release telling us Devastator was called "Brawl." (strike one, "devastator is his confirmed name in the film) You told us you were constantly adding dialogue to the robots (Starscream has one line, the cons only speak once, and that's in subtitles).

We know, you were doing it to appease the fandom, and to secure the success of the film. But now, I feel two-timed. You told us you were making changes, but you didn't. You gave us false hope, and quite frankly I am pissed.

When Bay presented the movie in Sydney, he acknowledge that there was a mistake in the movie. The subtitles--from what I hear---label him as Devastator. It was a mistake plain and simple.

They'll change the subtitle, it's probably the easiest thing that could possibly be changed in the film...

As for the other stuff, what do you really expect? Sure they 'bent the truth' in alot of places, but that's to be expected when you are dealing with people who can do that free of consequence.

Not to say that that is a good thing or a bad thing, but whenever I heard the movie people say they were going to do this or that, I was always skeptical. You need to be when dealing with the movie industry.

Well, at least they kept their promise about changing Megatron's head.

I used to do his landscaping...

After a while...I learned how to use a computer and gave up landscaping. I decided I need to market my new skills as web programmer and started a site in honor of the client that used to pay me $1.50 more than his other neighbors.

And voila! I am here. Now if I could only figure how to get me a green card--legally--I would be all set.

BTW, I can't respond in regards to what Orci said as I am unfamiliar with what he said exactly.

It will have to wait as Bay is probably 40,000 feet over the Pacific as we speak or headed the other towards Europe.

Yes, they could because it would be possesion of stolen intellectual property. They've sued people for less. But Boag, IIRC, is in Mexico...where copyright is a term that is foreign to them (considering how rancheras copy each other and no one does anyhing).

But they would be going for the big fish.

That said, I think it was stupid of Paramount releasing this movie early in the capitol of pirating.

I honestly think that the subtitles on the decepticons will work well. Hopefully, Barricade will speak in english, since they have Keith freaking David as his voice! But if you think about it, with Megatron seeing organic creatures as inferior, wouldn't it make sense for his troops to have a similar view, thus, they would want to use their native language. I'm sure the subtitles will be fixed, too. That's a simple error.

So there's barely any talking by the Decepticons at all? What's with that?

I guess subtitles might make sense. I always wondered how the transformers knew English so fluently coming from a different planet Maybe English is the second language of the universe!

Maybe they did add more dialogue but the studio rejected their revised script, you don't know that they "lied", you're just making assumptions.

You should. No one lied to you first of all, and second this movie isn't made solely for you.

Until we actually see *THE* final film on July 3rd, no one knows for sure how it really will play out.

Look, the film isn't going to be perfect (I mean, what movie really is?) but it's going to be better than the original movie, and better than our original expectations.

If that's not enough for you, then sorry your majesty, I'm sure they'll try harder next time.

Our answers were always specific and true. Any seeming contradictions exist as a result of erroneous inferences by innocently or malevolently biased sources. You should not take Transformers if you suffer from liver disease. Transformers is a good source of fiber. Consult your doctor if your Transformer remains in its Protoform for more than four hours.

To be fair they said they were giving the transformers more dialog, not specifically the Decepticons.

Its pretty standard that the protagonists would get more attention.

I don't like it, but I see how it happened.
