Robo-Vision Prime doesnt stand up straight?

Postby DvDqNoC » Sun Aug 26, 2007 6:33 pm

I have a Robo-Vision Prime and it simply does not stand up straight. No matter how I figit with his legs, he is always slanted, leaning slightly to the left. Eve with I snap the legs together and stand him up, he still leans to the left.

I examined him carefully and noticed that one of his feet (his heel I suppose?) comes down a tad bit lower than his other foot.

Is there a way to fix this? It is rather annoying...

Mine does not seem to have this problem.

Nor mine. But the heels on Robo-vision are fairly weak and flimsy at best.

If it is only a slight lean, perhaps sliding a small piece of cardboard (or similar) underneath his lopsided heel will fix it up? The piece of cardboard need only be slightly larger than the heel piece.

Is there anyway you can mistransform the longer leg/heel to match the shorter one at all?
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

well another issue is because of the nature of the backpack kibble it requires you to lean the figure forward to balance him.

If you do action shots its not too bad as the legs can spread out a bit to distribute the wieght.

Have a Voyager Prime, and I've never had a problem with the legs, nor have I had a problem with posing because of the backpack. My Prime right now is posed straight, in its default "ratchet", and it's not toppling over.

Sounds like a mold error. Perhaps you could buy a regular Voyager Class Prime and swap out the erred piece?

I haven't had the supposed problems with my Robo. Sorry to hear about it though. I have a friend who's got a similar problem with his blackout. It won't stay in alt mode tightly without over-rotating the cockpit. It seems to me that automorph areas are the cause of most of the problems I see/have. Robo's heels would probably be a little better if the automorph wasn't in effect. As for fixing him, I agree you should buy a Voyager and replace the faulty part, or you could just alter him into an action pose all the time. :P

Maybe sand his other foot down a little to match the short one? If it's not much, you could just grind down the sole of the other foot with some sandpaper to even him out some. Might not be perfect still, but you could probably match them up closer.

Or work out why it drops lower & do the same to the higher one?

Thanks everyone, but I think I can just live with the slant slant.

Nope. My Robo-Vision Prime says bring it on. He's a jerk. I say nice paint job though.
