so delete my account if you want for me writing this that's fine.. if you want to start going around and deleting accounts..then I'll make sure I won't come back here, i can always vent that frustration on another similar forum, though I will admit this one is the best..there are other forums to go to.. but I just felt that, granted, "Cheetor22" was in the wrong, but account deletion threats are like a seriousness that seems extremely excessive to me..almost like a power trip.. :-( But hey what do I know, I'm just a 30 year old transformers fan, and not a Moderator..right??

I mean, it was Spam, but only that, no cussing or excessive name calling, and we have no knowledge how old or intelligent that person is, so suspension, I can see, but account deletion???? :???: But again what do I know..I'm not a Moderator??

Since you called me out, let me explain this. First off, I don't know if you know this, but I don't read every thread. Most of the times the moderators are contacted by members and we evaluate the situation that they are refering to. Sometimes we don't see the problem, and sometimes we do. We also have well over 30,000 members and I think on average someone gets banned maybe once every three months or less. The fact is, the person getting banned usually makes a big stink in a thread and it is in plain site of all the members, but in actuallity, for the year, half a dozen people who break the rules over the few thousand that join is a pretty good ratio. But if you can justify that a member spamming a thread or insulting other members numerous times is contributing, then I'll listen.

Now back on subject, I persoanlly think that they can make an MP Grimlock, because it always seems that with MP figures, they add a creative twist here and there making a nice figure.

Excellent post. If more people realized that when we post and issue warnings, that 90% of the time they were ratted out by their fellow members.
The point is this, don't piss everyone off and they won't rat you out.
It is nearly impossible to read every thread thoroughly too..
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.

Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.

Geez!!!! Man I want to know what it's like to have that kinda power??

Dude, you're not going to "disappear" because of this. However, it is not appreciated. I'm a Primary News Crew member who also happens to be a Secondary Moderator. When I see things going wrong, I chime in and report to the Primary Moderators and Administrators. So I'm not a Moderator (Except I am in the Philosopher's Forum) as much as I am an extra pair of trustworthy eyes for the Mod Squad.

So don't feel the need to "brown-nose" me or "walk on eggshells" while I'm around. Neither technique will affect whether or not you get in trouble. Be decent to fellow posters, follow the rules, and if a Moderator makes a request of you, do the best you can to comply.

That's really all we ask of you guys, is that too much? If so, send me a PM and enlighten me. In the meantime though, let's get this "train" back on the tracks and return to the topic at hand. :D

Anyway, on topic...

I actually don't know about that, an MP Grimlock. I like Grimlock and all, but somehow a giant T-Rex in my collection seems like it would make it less mature or something, not that a big collection of transformable robotic toys is really the most mature thing.

I dunno, if it was say, his War Within version perhaps (but they won't because MP is G1), but otherwise, I'd rather see a different character.

ok, train is on the tracks, but before we leave the station, i just wan to say that I in no way condone the Spamming or other rule breaking that goes on, and that you Mods have to diligently pursue..I was merely suggesting that with Cheetor22, that his incessant Spams were in violation of the rules, yes, but in no way IMHO a means to have his account deleted..

It sometimes takes me by surprise to realize that some of these posts are from Pre-teens and not adults.. I understand it gets frustrating playing Parent, and teacher as well as moderator... so I fell your pain, being a parent myself, and respect what you do...I just thought that maybe there should have been a little more explanation before the big guns, I.E. deletion, was brought to bear.. Cheetor22 could have well been a pre-teen.. and at 13,14 and 15 I was pretty mischievous myself.. as I read the thread from the beginning to where we were now, I kinda felt sorry for him...it was like reading a Rodney king beating with soooo many Mods on him at once.. I'm sorry if I acted like I was disregarding what you guys do, but it's nice to know where we stand now...

Now I know your not unreasonable people..

I just think that kids/Pre-teens have already a fair amount of resentment towards Authority which pervades everything they do.. it's just their nature at that age..

maybe it is just the protective father in me..but I didn't mean to insult your profession, or your intentions, it was more a plea for leniency, albeit an adrenaline parentally charged one..

Agreed, and problem being, like I said before...

Grimlock has to be as big as Prime. I fear that with the trend away from die-cast in these, Grimlock will be somewhat unimpressive if not done in the right ways.

With just Die-cast in the Robot leg area, Chest, and a few joint spots, I really can't see putting it anywhere else..what do you think??

The legs really should be die-cast, just for balance reasons.

If they mirror the G1 transformation, then the gold chest piece should be die-cast too. Perhaps the dino head should as well, just for effect.

Die-cast on the head might be pushing it, MP Prime only has die-cast on half his upper torso and legs. Cost wise they probably wouldn't dump die-cast in a big piece like the dino head, even if it would look bad ass.

Damn straight, I'd LOVE to see this. If we can't ever get the G1 molds back, then Grimmy deserves this. I would have preferred Ironhide or Ratchet, but Grimlock is an excellent choice as well.

Repaint Masterpiece Grims = Trypticon(for use with smaller scale TFs).

He doesn't have a ton of repaintability alright. But then again, neither does Megatron. They can't exactly make him Galavtron this time round, can they?

Whatever happened to the Trypticon repaint of Classic Grims, incidentally?

It didn't happen. Trypticon wound up being a legends class figure based on Energon Scourge.

So Sunstorm is really popular in Japan?
If they ever do a repaint into a Sunstorm, I hope they do him up right. With metallic gold highlights on a yellow and white body :P

If they do a MP Grimlock, I hope they make sure to address any fragility issues before they go into production. That would suck if he has to be handled with kid gloves like some of the other MPs.

You can do a MEGATRON repaint!!!!!

Final Battle Megatron or Cosmic Rust Megatron, with Battle damage and cracks all over him, and Mortal wound battle damage...similar to what Prime delt him in the Movie..

I'd say if they did that it would be cool, especially with the new and really artistic Battle damage they used on the Voyager Prime repaint...which looks a hell of alot better then that crap they did on the 20th Anniversary prime that Hasbro released... it was just black splotches of stuff..

they could use the same old Masterpiece boxes..

Andf heck if you really wanted to go wild with the Takara Mold, you could do a Half and Half painted and Black clear Megatron, and call him reformatted Megatron, like to what unicron was doing to him, with a Mesh lines of Light purple painted over the clear parts to movie accuracy...

Image

They could take the images of the toy reformat style and do some computer touch ups and make it look like its shinning like in the movie.. but with the toy..for the box art

That would be another repaint..

Incidentally i'd buy both.. if they did that, that is..

I would get so excited if they did a Dinobot MP line. Here's hoping for a full release even though I know how much Tak/Tomy likes to do repaints. Sooner see Sunstorm before the complete Dino MP line.

I'd buy 'em all too! In duplicate if I could....

What scares me is that *if* they make MP Grimlock they might try to repaint him and say it's Slag or something....

I don't see why the Japanese fan base is against him, I mean he's like a mecha Gojira in all respects..

I agree with you Maximal Primal. I live in Japan and I have not seen any evidence that the Japanese dislike the Dinobots. This rumor comes up a lot on Seibertron.com but I don't think its true. Dinobot figures are hard to find in Japan and the ones that do appear in the Manga stores get bought up pretty quickly.

Yeah there was, and that is the exact color scheme i think would do a Masterpiece Grimlock justice as having his own nemesis like Prime had with scourge or nemesis prime!!

But if they do the Dinobots Snarl and Slag should be next..
