so delete my account if you want for me writing this that's fine.. if you want to start going around and deleting accounts..then I'll make sure I won't come back here, i can always vent that frustration on another similar forum, though I will admit this one is the best..there are other forums to go to.. but I just felt that, granted, "Cheetor22" was in the wrong, but account deletion threats are like a seriousness that seems extremely excessive to me..almost like a power trip..But hey what do I know, I'm just a 30 year old transformers fan, and not a Moderator..right??
I mean, it was Spam, but only that, no cussing or excessive name calling, and we have no knowledge how old or intelligent that person is, so suspension, I can see, but account deletion????But again what do I know..I'm not a Moderator??
Since you called me out, let me explain this. First off, I don't know if you know this, but I don't read every thread. Most of the times the moderators are contacted by members and we evaluate the situation that they are refering to. Sometimes we don't see the problem, and sometimes we do. We also have well over 30,000 members and I think on average someone gets banned maybe once every three months or less. The fact is, the person getting banned usually makes a big stink in a thread and it is in plain site of all the members, but in actuallity, for the year, half a dozen people who break the rules over the few thousand that join is a pretty good ratio. But if you can justify that a member spamming a thread or insulting other members numerous times is contributing, then I'll listen.
Now back on subject, I persoanlly think that they can make an MP Grimlock, because it always seems that with MP figures, they add a creative twist here and there making a nice figure.

Dude!!! I didn't realize that along with the news crew, you were a MOD....I'll have to remember that next time I post to walk on egg shells with my words around you, that is if I'm still here after this post and standing up a little to the all Powerful and Godly moderators, I'll need to be extra careful what I say around you, and kiss butt, so that I can still be a Transformers fan and not get flamed or kicked off a site that was for enjoyment of Transformers and freedom of ideas..wait was that this forum??
Geez!!!! Man I want to know what it's like to have that kinda power??

skywarp-2 wrote:ok, train is on the tracks, but before we leave the station, i just wan to say that I in no way condone the Spamming or other rule breaking that goes on, and that you Mods have to diligently pursue..I was merely suggesting that with Cheetor22, that his incessant Spams were in violation of the rules, yes, but in no way IMHO a means to have his account deleted..
It sometimes takes me by surprise to realize that some of these posts are from Pre-teens and not adults.. I understand it gets frustrating playing Parent, and teacher as well as moderator... so I fell your pain, being a parent myself, and respect what you do...I just thought that maybe there should have been a little more explanation before the big guns, I.E. deletion, was brought to bear.. Cheetor22 could have well been a pre-teen.. and at 13,14 and 15 I was pretty mischievous myself.. as I read the thread from the beginning to where we were now, I kinda felt sorry for him...it was like reading a Rodney king beating with soooo many Mods on him at once.. I'm sorry if I acted like I was disregarding what you guys do, but it's nice to know where we stand now...
Now I know your not unreasonable people..
I just think that kids/Pre-teens have already a fair amount of resentment towards Authority which pervades everything they do.. it's just their nature at that age..
maybe it is just the protective father in me..but I didn't mean to insult your profession, or your intentions, it was more a plea for leniency, albeit an adrenaline parentally charged one..

Agreed, and problem being, like I said before...
Grimlock has to be as big as Prime. I fear that with the trend away from die-cast in these, Grimlock will be somewhat unimpressive if not done in the right ways.

With just Die-cast in the Robot leg area, Chest, and a few joint spots, I really can't see putting it anywhere else..what do you think??

The legs really should be die-cast, just for balance reasons.
If they mirror the G1 transformation, then the gold chest piece should be die-cast too. Perhaps the dino head should as well, just for effect.

I know Grimlock is popular, but could he be turned into a good MP?
i don't see why not. who doesn't love a big metal dino. i'm very excited to see if these rumors fill out. let him and trypticon battle to the death on my computer desk.
Spark Light wrote:Repaint Masterpiece Grims = Trypticon(for use with smaller scale TFs).
He doesn't have a ton of repaintability alright. But then again, neither does Megatron. They can't exactly make him Galavtron this time round, can they?
Whatever happened to the Trypticon repaint of Classic Grims, incidentally?
So Sunstorm is really popular in Japan?i_amtrunks wrote:If the rumours turn out to be correct, then Grimlock would only be used as a break between Skywarp and Thundercracker (and possibly Sunstorm, seeing how much love he gets in Japan)

It didn't happen. Trypticon wound up being a legends class figure based on Energon Scourge.

This is a rumor and only a rumor. A couple of other TF Forums have reports from Japanese TF Forums that Grimlock is up next. This is only a rumor.

And Swoop.
And Sludge.
And Snarl.
And Slag.
Though hopefully, not all at once.
I would get so excited if they did a Dinobot MP line. Here's hoping for a full release even though I know how much Tak/Tomy likes to do repaints. Sooner see Sunstorm before the complete Dino MP line.

I don't see why the Japanese fan base is against him, I mean he's like a mecha Gojira in all respects..
