Tekka wrote:I don't think there are specific dates like that. They don't have the same date system we do now. But I believe the calendar does rollover consistantly. But it takes a very long time, almost two million days or 5200 years. Assuming we have the correlation of dates right, this will be the only time we ever get to see it roll over.
Tekka wrote:They're just rounded estimates but from what I've read the last cycle started sometime around 3113 BC. 2012 being the end of the current "Creation Cycle".
Wheeljack35 wrote:This is the last time the calender rolls over the very last day on that calender is 12/21/12
After that it doesn't roll over again
I suggest you watch something on this I have and do not corect me again
I know what I have seen, I don't need you to correct me because you know something on a thread instead of learning it on TV

Now who's Mr. Know it All?
Now, to be fair, maybe I don't know everything that's going on, but, to be absolutely fair, neither do you, considering how this all happened several thousand years ago.
I'd be more inclined to trust sto_vo_kor_2000, Tekka, and Tammuz on this...mostly because they didn't start their posts by saying they learned it all on the History Channel.
I would honestly take a thread over TV any day.

If something happens, it will be a coincidence that the Mayans could never have known about.

Like a presidential election, maybe? Because we're set to have one in 2012.

Exactly

Shadowman wrote:Of course, the election actually occurs on November 2nd, and inauguration wouldn't be until January 20th, 2013. So if we accidentally elect Satan, we can just kick him out and reinstate whoever wins this year or something...
...Have we ever had to kick a guy out of office before he was inaugurated? I'd have to read the constitution again, but I don't think they cover that.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was for me to refrain from adding in the "giant twinkie" quote from Ghosbusters.![]()
But seriously, it was what could be described as a demon, it tried attaching itself to me, to get to one of my friends, and I ended up, destroying it, I think.
Also, if nobody has ever had a paranormal experience, having a demon(or anything else for that matter) try to get into your head feels funny. You get light headed and you get a nice pushing type pain/weak electrical tingle on the back of your neck underneath the base of the skull.
It was a really neat experience.
Dead Metal wrote:I sometimes hear voices calling for me, which is kinda strange.
Dead Metal wrote:i also woke up in a hostel once seeing how a human like being which was made up of white light and floated over me disappeared slowly.
The strange thing is, up to that moment I was scared of the place, but after I saw that, lets say ghost, I felt totally safe and all, I even dreamed of my dead uncle telling me a new story.

If something happens, it will be a coincidence that the Mayans could never have known about.
They did make a prediction that shows the earth being destroyed by a flood thats caused by a great serpent and one of their goddess and the words "Black Earth" and "Black on high" being repeated a few times.
Theres a missing section of the prediction but most of it can be made out.
This vid explains a lot but its about 2 hours long. But you can skip to the end.
But I'm not really sure you can say that the Maya thought of it as the "end for all time" sine the made other predictions for years that are well past 2012.
They even made a prediction for the coming of the "New Age" but what that is or means is unknown.
