Alternators / Binaltech Grimlock. Though Mustang alt is awesome. Transformation though is ne of the most annoying there are.

I also like R.I.D Grimlock, though he's not really Grimlock, but Build Hurricane.

I have nearly every Grimlock (and am about to have a lot less hopefully). Masterpiece is far and away my favorite. I agree Energon is awesome despite the ill conceived Mega-Dinobot mode. Actionmaster and Pretender are pretty sweet for when they were made as is Beast Wars but Alternator and Classics are the bottom of the barrel. Animated is Animated and pretty perfect for what it is but it's like having a whole bunch of red apples then a Granny Smith, you know? And RiD is like finding a pineapple in there. You get why someone might put it there but really how the heck does that one fit? They just aren't directly comparable. Anyway, Alternator, Energon (with Swoop), Actionmaster, and Pretender (no shell) will all be going soon hopefully. If anyone wants to save me from having to make an eBay listing, PM me.

EDIT: I totally spaced on Titanium! He's cool but being the last original mold from a line that was quickly being devoured by Classics/Universe 2.0 kinda didn't leave him any time to grow on me. He's for sale too.

ah, Action Master. I forgot about them. My bad. He was pretty cool for an Action Master, yeah.

MP Grimmy, hands down. I mean, come on.

G1 grimlock nets second place, although the Classics version is also pretty nice, although limited.

Don't really like Energon Grimlock. The colors are too cartoony and the robot mode looks too squat. He has that missing abdomen look many of the Energon toys had and Megadinobot's head is clearly visible in dino mode.

Animated Grimmy is very nice too, but I guess I prefer even the Classics look over the animated's. Although the dino mode is awsome.

We'll see how FoC stacks up comparitively. Hell, since Grims is one of my faves I may spring for the Takara release, we shall see.

FOC Grimlock will be my first ever Grimlock.

MP Grimlock would have been bought and worshiped on a altar, had it not been for his outdated T-Rex mode. Yes, yes, I know it's how he looks in the G1 cartoon, but I just prefer a more anatomically-accurate T-Rex mode.

Reason why I said RiD Grimlock earlier? Cause to me, there's no "perfect" Dinobot Grimlock yet. If MP Grimlock was in scale to MP-10 on, then he'd be perfect. If the rest of the FoC Dinobots were released, then FoC Grimlock would be.

I'll probably love FoC Grimlock as a toy more than any of the rest though. Partly because my RiD Grimolock broke back in the day and I have yet to replace him(got the Universe repaint, but I'm using him for my SG Build Team unofficial repurpose), plus the chance that a 3rd-party company will produce a bigger sword & shield for FoC Grimlock.
